Seattle Hospitality Group (SHG) has acquired a definitive controlling interest in Fremont Brewing. The move brings two iconic Seattle breweries together under the SHG roof. Pike Brewing joined forces with SHG in 2021 (reported here). Fremont Brewing Company will continue operations without interruption or outwardly noticeable change, as Pike Brewing did three years ago. For over a decade, the good folks at Seattle’s Latona Pub have commemorated Earth Day (and Earth Week) by serving only beer delivered to the pub by non-motorized means. Kegs arrive by hand trucks, bicycles, row boats, or a combination of people-powered means. More than that, they create ways to raise funds for earth-focused organizations.
