I think it’s safe to say, we all love pedalboards. Over at Rattlesnake Cable Company – they are running a Pedalboard Photo Contest. All you need to do is upload a pic through their form and provide a brief photo caption. Additionally, you can vote daily on boards too! The following is a guest post by Dean Hailstone of PlayGuitarLive.com. If you are interested in guest posting, please contact me! The Line 6 POD X3 and Boss GT-8 are two multi-effects processors that have been discontinued for a while, however both hold value today. Although unavailable for purchasing new, both can be found used for almost nothing. The X3 has great latency and can be heard on number one records. The GT-8 is still used by studio musicians that I know of to this day. Both the GT-8 and X3 can be connected directly. Because they can recreate an amplifier and cabinet, you can plug ..read more

Man, it feels like a million years ago when I first created Pedal Labels. These were first an Effects Bay offering, but the demand was high, that I moved it to it’s own thing at https://www.pedallabels.com. We ran that for a few years, with great success, but supply chain issues were a constant problem and we put a hold on it. The amount of emails over the years asking about these labels have been crazy. I always wanted to bring these back, and with the pandemic, I found some new energy and focus to make it happen. So, I’m so happy to finally announce that Pedal Labels are BACK again! For you ..read more

Today’s Pedal Line Friday submission is from Joe Perkins. If you have a pedal line (doesn’t have to be in a board) for your rig, please email me a photo, bio, description of pedals and routing to pedalline@nulleffectsbay.com. Every Friday I’ll showcase a pedal line submission. Make sure you include any links to your band or music page. The 2021 build is about as far as I can take my ‘all-analog pedalboard’ concept; at least, using this particular board, loop switchers and power system. There’s absolutely zero room anywhere on there…every nook & cranny either has a bundle of patch leads, a ..read more

Over the years, I’ve seen many music industry businesses, specifically in the world of pedals, jump in the game. This field is insanely saturated, but the market is big – and it’s a great opportunity with a person with a dream to start something and see where it goes.  These people start in the basement, on the kitchen table, the spare bedroom, etc. Some can continue the grind and begin the slow growth of a business. Growing with employees and growing into a larger shop, etc. There are the dreams of selling products world-wide and develop a well-known and iconic brand. I’m writing this po ..read more
