The Secrets of Paris website and newsletter were created by Heather Stimmler, an American-born journalist living in France since 1995.

The Bibliothèque Marguerite Durand is a unique French public library dedicated to women's history, feminism, and gender studies. Founded in 1932, it houses an extensive collection of books, periodicals, archives, and artworks, available for borrowing or onsite consultation. Visits are free and open to the public.
