Seit Beginn 2019 sind die Betreiber von Onlinehandels-Plattformen für nicht bezahlte Umsatzsteuer haftbar. In Deutschland registrierte Verkäufer mussten den Plattformen seither die Bescheinigung nach §22f UstG vorlegen. Ab dem 1. Juli 2021 haben sich die Regeln allerdings geändert. Seitdem müssen die Betreiber über einige Informationen des Händlers verfügen, um aus der Haftung entlassen zu werden. Außerdem ist eine Umsatzsteuer-Identifikationsnummer nun Voraussetzung, die die Bescheinigung nach § 22f UStG nun ersetzt.
