A relaxed sunset in Jaco, Costa Rica after a long day of travel.
So it’s been about a month since I went to Costa Rica with Connor for about ten days. Apart from the flight and the first nights accommodation, everything else was booked last minute or an hour or two in advance. There was no pressure and it felt nice to have the freedom to change things if we needed, which we did frequently. So I guess that relaxed attitude is why it took me so long to put this up.
We flew into San Jose late on a Friday night and wanted to get out of the city as fast as possible. So we realized that we needed t ..read more

9/29/22 - Austin => Oaxaca City (Day 1)
Daily Highlights:
Woke up at 4:45am to fly out
Landed in Oaxaca, walked out of the airport to the main highway, and flagged down a bus that was going to the city center
Got dropped off downtown and walked 30 mins to the hostel, dropped my stuff off, and wandered around
Quickly figured out the light meter on the camera was not working because the battery is dead
Quite literally was shooting in the dark and trying to find a place that has this very specific small circular battery
Went back to the rooftop for happy hour and made friends ..read more

Just got a third roll of quarantine film back. The past couple weeks have been spent relaxing outside as much as possible, day trips along the coast, and just getting lost zigzagging in the city. These are some scenes from living life a little more slowly and six feet apart.

This is my second roll of film developed in quarantine. These past few months have been filled with strange times that feel like they keep getting stranger. One of the things that has kept me calm and has been a great release has been continuing to wander around the city in the quiet hours of the day. Waking up early in the morning to bike or wander around the city with no real goal other than getting out of the house and breathing fresh air. These are some subdued scenes from the past few months.

I just got my first roll of film developed in quarantine. I have been staying sane by running all over Golden Gate Park, reading mountains of books, and being one of the few people still wandering around the city. These are some scenes from living life a little slower and staying six feet apart.

I recently was in Bali and got three rolls of film developed from the past four months of traveling. These little babies have made it through seven countries, tropical rain storms, countless bus rides, and a silly amount of immigration and security checkpoints. Having all three of these rolls in tact is nothing short of a god damn Christmas miracle.
This roll has shots from when I first landed in Hong Kong and wandered through the streets and the first half of my time in Vietnam. There are scenes from Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Da Nang and the craziest fucking bus ride I’ve ever taken from Da Nang t ..read more
