Daniel Kao is fourth year computer science major at UC San Diego. In 2015, he interned for the U.S. Department of Education under the Office of Educational Technology. There, he helped with key initiatives including the National Education Technology Plan, policies around Open Educational Resources, and organized the White House Computer Science Tech Jam for Computer Science Education Week.
