The Exorcist is back. In a recent piece around the upcoming series, Dead Ringers, Deadline quipped about there being a reboot planned for the classic horror franchise. Produced by Morgan Creek Entertainment, nothing else is really known or if it’s even true. The source of it comes as a little line nearing the bottom of the article, after all. “Current Morgan Creek projects include Stay Tuned at AMC, with a planned theatrical reboot of The Exorcist in the works for 2021.” This doesn’t mean it isn’t happening, it just means to be cautious when discussing ..read more

Comedy Central’s long-running Tosh.0 isn’t coming back for another season with its upcoming 10-episode season being the last we’ll hear from the series. This flies in the face of January’s decision to renew it for another four seasons. It isn’t all bad, though, as THR reports Comedy Central is aiding in finding a new home for the Daniel Tosh-hosted comedy series. This reversal could be in direct relation to the shift of management to Viacom’s Chris McCarthy. The ViacomCBS station is looking to put less of a focus on live-action series and put more toward its adult animation ..read more

Laurence Fishburne isn’t going to jump back into the Matrix in The Matrix 4. Christened as the red pill, blue pill Morpheus, it seems like the film is going to exclude him from the story. In an interview with New York Magazine (via The Wrap), the actor dropped the ball, noting that he wasn’t invited, but he does wish them well. “I have not been invited. Maybe that will make me write another play. I wish them well. I hope it’s great,” Fishburne isn’t too scorn by this, though. The Matrix is far from the only role fans will know him from. He’s played a myriad of characters featu ..read more

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve most likely heard of Edger Wright’s comic book-turned-movie, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. While the comic itself garnered a sizable cult following, the film could’ve been quite different. Ahead of his rise to stardom following the launch of Twilight, Robert Pattinson tried his hand at nabbing the role of Romana’s second ex – Lucas Lee. Needless to say, it didn’t end up in his favor. According to Vanity Fair, it all came down to his read. Apparently, he read his audition lines vastly different from how his main competition did.  ..read more

Instead, it was the decided departure of one of its leads, Jim Parsons, who plays the role of Sheldon Cooper. The actor went on Doctor Who alum David Tennant’s podcast (via TV Guide), in which he confessed the reason behind his departure as a “moment of clarity.” In the podcast, he explained how he already ..read more
