Death Note has returned for a special one-shot manga by series creators Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. Earlier this month we posted about the first chapter of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's Death Note manga in 12 years, which is set to make its debut in the next issue of Jump SQ magazine, going on sale in Japan on February 4. Cider no Yō ni Kotoba ga Wakiagaru (Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop) began streaming a teaser video on Thursday. The film will open in Japan on May 15.  Entertainment news magazine Variety reported on Tuesday that KC Global Media, a media company headed by former Sony Pictures Television executives Andy Kaplan and George Chien (seen right) have acquired three of Sony's Asian television channels, including the Southeast Asian AXN and Animax Asia channels, and the South Korean and Southeast Asian Sony One channel. The official Twitter account for the television anime adaptation of Daisuke Hiyama's Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time (Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan) manga announced on December 25 that the anime will premiere on Tokyo MX in July.
