Stand in the crossroads and look, ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. Jeremiah 6:16 NIV. As a believer in Christ Jesus, you stand in the realization that God is present always; He is always with you, and He alone knows what you face – so lean into Him. “Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:6 NLT. Photo by Pixource Because God knows “the good way” for each of us, when you ask for His direction, He will answer. Your part is to walk in what He shows you. The Lord will then reward ..read more

All Is Well: Even When It Doesn’t Look Like It
Joy Cottage

In this time of abundant opinions, contradictory testimonies, staged, and genuine upheaval, there is One thing that remains True. The Word of God. And faith in God, translates to “all is well” (even when it doesn’t appear to be). All is well, and will be well, when you trust God to be who He says He is, and that He will do what He says He will do; for He is the only One who truly can do anything about this present darkness. We are promised in God’s Word, that our “heartfelt and persistent prayers can accomplish much” as we trust and believe in God and His promises. One important lesson to be g ..read more

Whose report will you believe?

On election day, I wrote with faith, trust, and victory in my heart, “Your will be done.” When reports came that those who stand for abortion, who don’t stand for the Church, the family, or for Israel; were being reported as the winner, I had to decide: “Do I trust God, and what He says to His prophets when God’s will doesn’t look like I thought it would?” I made my decision to trust God, and what He said, and is saying to His prophets. And then… PEACE! Renewing my mind to faith and trust, and not to what the media predicts (regardless the issue), brings peace. Faith is trusting God and His wa ..read more

Greetings! May grace and peace be yours from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Good News! He died for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. And for This Reason: … all Glory belongs to God through all the ages of eternity. Who or what are you trusting in right now? Confident trust is complete trust, no wavering. There is only One that will take you and love you as you are; Who will offer abundant life, and Who will keep His promise(s). Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord, no matter what happens. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised. Hebrews 10:35-36 (NLT). Photo by Pixabay I pray that we are becoming a no-matter-what-trust-in-the-Lord-people. Through the ups and downs a ..read more

While more is yet to come in this time of upheaval and uncertainty, there is promise of blessing for those that love the Lord. Here is one practical way to keep your mind on things above, things yet to come, and be blessed as a promise from God. “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.” Revelation 1:3. I just finished reading the book of Revelation aloud, and the difference between this and reading silently is palpable. The sense of Truth, conviction, love, instruction, and conseque ..read more

Kindness Attracts Favor

A man of kindness attracts favor, while a cruel man attracts nothing but trouble. Proverbs 11:17 This proverb is dedicated to my husband Ken, who is the kindest man I have ever known. Marriage is such a tremendous gift, and when you find the one you are to share life with; you find unique fulfillment. When this special person is your best friend, and the love of your life; and you have God at the center of your relationship, you experience success. If you are in the process of trusting God for your life mate, a calling, or a dream you believe that God has put on your heart; then rest assured t ..read more

Are you having a hard time listening? If you find that you are; you may be experiencing what the children of Israel were going through when: “they refused to listen” because they had “become too discouraged ….” (Exodus 6:6-9). God heard their groans: Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. So God heard their groaning….” Exodus 2:23-24a. Maybe you feel like you’re acclimating to this “new way of life,” or you are dealing with illness, or some other type of trauma. Seasoned with Salt

Colossians 4:6 – Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. I enjoy spicy foods, and in an effort to eliminate salt, I increased the amount of spice I would use when cooking. But you know what? Salt had to re-enter the picture for me. I use sea salt and pink Himalayan salt. There are health benefits to these salts, as well as added flavor and color. Today’s verse is a lot like my description of spice and salt. Gracious speech, like spices, can be a welcome ingredient; but what ‘pulls’ it all together is even a dash of salt ..read more
