Hi- I am Maree - a Mad Seamstress!
..and welcome to my new website and home of all things mad! We are all a little mad around here.
First off a little about me, if this is your first time popping in at a Mad Seamstress I love to sew and it my garments usually end up making some sort of statement. My husband says I am the queen of the one wear make. Either, that or he never wants me to wear it again. As it's so loud, stands out like a sore thumb and everyone remember it - so he suggest '... maybe something more casual..' very diplomatically.

My Dior inspired gown hasn’t quite gone to plan as I feel I have ended up with 80’s retro.
I hate to say it, but I think my dress, is going to end up at the back of the wardrobe, never to see the light of day as I consider this.. a failure...
’A failure ? ‘ I hear you question. ‘Seriously?!’
Well... it hasn’t quite turned out as planned.. so it falls into the sewing failure pile..

Welcome to my new adventure- ‘a Mad Seamstress!’
Which is an on line shop putting the ‘fab’ into fabulous fabric and I am also planning on share some of my mad makes that I hope inspire you to sew out of your comfort zone.
I am a lover of bold colours, mad patterns and have been known to produce and buy the odd crazy outfit.
