Our National Marine Educators Association (NMEA) mentor for December 2023 is Anita Wray, Genetics Data Analyst at the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission/NOAA. Anita has worked in the field of conservation genetics for over 4 years and has been in her current position for a year. Anita says that in her job she produces and analyzes genetic data to protect fisheries in the US! Right now she is working on the Vermilion/Sunset Rockfish complex in Southern California.

Our National Marine Educators Association (NMEA) mentor for January 2023 is Cassie Stymiest, Executive Director for Educational Passages. As the Executive Director, Cassie gets to oversee the work of students who build, launch, track, and recover miniature sailboats with GPS trackers ("miniboats") that sail the ocean currents and wind around the globe.
