The images were sitting in my inbox for a long time but I didn’t have the motivation to post about it until now. I generally like REN products and was keen to try out this tonic. Over the last year I have used up a couple of fragrances and I wanted something to replace them. I’m not really loyal to a particular brand or perfume. I don’t have a signature scent and I prefer to alternate depending on my mood. I sort of blind bought Vera Wang’s Embrace Green Tea and Pear Blossom EDT. It’s been an age since I’ve been to Shoreditch and even longer still since I’ve posted its street art on the blog. It’s an interesting place to go at the weekends as it is home to quirky bars, breweries, coffee shops and boutique stores. It’s also close to Spitalfields Market and Columbia Road Flower Market so there is plenty to explore. Shoreditch also has a kind of artsy vibe, which I guess comes as no surprise as the London College of Fashion has a campus there so the student population has a big influence. I have been meaning to pick up a lip scrub for a while now. I’ve reviewed the Lush Lip Scrub in Bubblegum before on the blog but I have recently discovered that Barry M has released its own lip scrub range. Barry M’s lip scrubs come in four flavours; Peppermint, Mango, Apple and Watermelon. They all sounded enticing but I opted for Watermelon simply because of the bright pink packaging. I never really publish these sorts of wishlist posts. But, it is coming into spring here in the UK and lockdown will gradually lift over the next couple of months. Like probably 90% of the UK’s population, I’ve been living in pyjamas and loungewear for the past year. It’s been a hot moment since I’ve posted a book review on this little old blog. It’s not through lack of reading either. I posted almost an entire year ago my reasons for moving to a Kindle and I’ve stuck to it. I’m still gifted books though, and Washington Black by Esi Edugyan was one I received for my birthday last year. Washington Black is the main protagonist and the book is named after him. I bought Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash a few weeks ago now. I wanted something that would quickly remove my make up at the end of the day. I love Micellar Water and I saw this on offer so wondered how the Micellar Gel would stack up. The product comes in plastic packaging with a pump. It’s handy for travel as it won’t break, and the pump twists on and off to prevent spills. As I said, I bought this on offer for the price of £2.66 for 200ml of product.
