Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it. I haven't started writing my own music quite yet because I wanted to get my feet wet with a Christmas cover song. I have always been interested in singing and would sing all around the house. It was my mom who actually pushed me to get past my fear and record a song. Let's get this out of the way. What is the CRAZIEST thing that has ever happened to you in your music career? Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it. During quarantine, I wasn’t working on Sydney to the Max and had a lot of hours to burn. I decided to be productive and work on my music every day. I found music was a way for me to get my emotions out. It was actually very therapeutic. I first began creating music after finding a producer named Nick Mira making beats in a YouTube video. As I played around with GarageBand, I couldn't stop myself from being addicted to making beats. Then, I purchased Logic Pro X ..read more

Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it: Yes, I recall the event as if it was yesterday. While I was attending college, there was a a band playing Salsa music at the student artist center. I was as if I was struck by lightning and just fell in love with the genre. Soon after, I started to listen to the big Salsa artists of the times, like Grammy winning pianists, Eddie Palmieri, Papo Lucca and Larry Harlow. I started taking lessons from a local Spanish pianist and he taught me how to write Salsa music ..read more

Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it. Yes, actually. When I was 12, I had a mad crush on a boy, and after spending a weekend at an event with him and our families, I decided to write a song about him. That was my first song, it was called eventually, and it started my love of songwriting and singing. Let's get this out of the way. What is the CRAZIEST thing that has ever happened to you in your music career? Hmm, that’s a hard one. I would say being posted on spotify’s story asking people to stream ..read more

Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it. The real answer to this question has layers... So when I was younger, my brother and I spent a lot of time playing browser games. Our favorite minigame website had a game called Mix Master Beats. In this game, you could pick different musical phrases on a limited set of instruments. I ended up playing this game for months! I eventually wanted more control over the music and sounds, so I started searching for DJ apps including ones like Edjing. These apps expose ..read more
