Drink: Basil Hayden’s Bourbon
Bond book appearance: “Carte Blanche” (2011)
Experience of 007 Travelers: At home
” In the toweling robe Bond stepped into the kitchen and poured two fingers of bourbon, Basil Hayden’s, into a glass, dropped in one ice cube and drank half, enjoying the sharp, nutty flavor. The first sip of the day was invariably the best, especially coming as this one did – after a harrowing excursion against an enemy and ahead of an evening with a beautiful woman…!

The allure of the French Riviera, on the Côte d’Azur as it is variously known, needs little or no introduction. The landscape, the wealth, the film stars, the artists, the Belle Epoque architecture and the azure sea have all ensured the longevity of its rightful place in stunning coast lines and picturesque villages to soak up.
That in various forms, James Bond has left his mark in such pantheons of beauteous geography is no surprise. But just what are they, and in how many forms.

Food: Une noisette and Americano drink
Bond book appearance: Forever and a Day (2018). Bond eats such a meal at Cafe Le Papet at Aubegne train station in France while waiting for Monique de Troyes and drinks Americano when she arrives.
Experience of 007 Travelers: At home
“James Bond was sitting at a table just opposite with a view of the station clock that both told him how much time had passed and taunted him with the suggestion that Monique might not, after all, show up. The inside of the bar was a small, unassuming room, packed with tables and, on Saturday morning, with customer ..read more
