It has been more than three years since Apple introduced the fifth-generation Apple TV with support for 4K video, but according to Bloomberg, the company has big plans for the future of the product line. We’re approaching four years since Apple launched the fifth-generation Apple TV — the first with 4K support — and slowly but surely, the rumors and reports are starting to form a complete picture of the next model. HBO has removed HBO Now support from the second-gen and third-gen Apple TV models, as previously announced. Users of the old Apple TV models have to either upgrade the hardware or use other streaming devices to access HBO Now. 2020 is shaping up to be one of the busiest years ever for Apple hardware releases. In spring, we expect Apple to debut the follow-up to the iPhone SE, which we believe will be called the iPhone 9. Just in time for the launch of Apple TV+ in a little less than three weeks, Roku announced that starting today its users will be able to add the Apple TV app to their service for the first time.
