Sorry for the delay folks, but I'm back to blogging with plenty to talk about. Today, I want to talk about Chris Nolan's next film, Tenet and what exactly it is about and whether it will measure up to his previous movies. Tenet is due to come out in July 2020. First, check out the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdOM0x0XDMo Trailer doesn't relieve too much here, though it does give us some hints. The suspicion here is that Nolan is just making us think this movie is about one thing but turns to be about something else completely. Regardless, let's take a look at what the traile ..read more

IT CHAPTER 2: The Pennywise in All of Us

Three hours. That's how long the new IT movie is. It runs long and feels long. But we are not here to just talk about the length of the movie, on to the review! The movie starts with the return of Pennywise the dancing clown. After an attack on two gay men, the perpetrators toss one of the gay men over a bridge. It's a scene that really makes you think about the society we are in nowadays. In some of the dialogue, the perpetrators essentially tell the gay men to leave Derry, Maine and go back to where they came from. One of the gay men shouts back and says something along the lines of, I am ..read more

What does this all mean? Well .... Spider-Man will no be a part of the marvel cinematic universe (MCU). It's interesting because Tom Holland's contract does run with Sony so we may see him continue as spider-man but now a lot of things are up in the air. We will try to take a look at a few questions from here? Why is Sony doing this, Spider-man was great in the MCU??? -Well, with the into the spider-verse movie along with Venom, Sony was in a good position to ask for a better deal from Disney. Disney was hoping for a 50/50 co-financing split which Sony was not OK with. Look for the Sony Spide ..read more

The first reactions to IT: Chapter 2 are in people and looks like it may be a pretty decent movie all things considered. The Losers Club is back, except they are 27 years older and ready to tackle Pennywise (and hopefully for the last time). Let's float on to some fo the first reviews How long is the movie? The movie is very close to 3 hours long so be sure to go at the popcorn and soda judiciously How scary is the movie? The movie is scarier then the first part. You will see A LOT more of Pennywise to leave you wondering if that noise you heard at night was just the cat or something else. h ..read more

I have to admit when I first saw the previews for this movie, I didn't think it was going to be good. I thought Phoenix's portrayal of the Joker would be good but how could the Joker get his own standalone movie? What exactly is Joker without his arch nemesis - Batman? Well, it looks like the movie has taken a good shot at giving the Joker his introduction and backstory. Regardless, here are a couple of key questions about the movie and the main critics who have already seen in: How is Phoenix's portrayal as the Joker? Oscar-worthy, and amazing seems to be the general consensus among the crit ..read more

New James Bond Movie Coming Early 2020

Well, folks the new James Bond film finally has a title! It will be called No Time To Die. What else do we know about the film? Who is going to be in the film -Daniel Craig is returning but the word  (as I previously mentioned) this will be Craig's last Bond movie. We here at BMPs have really enjoyed his take on the Bond role and he did an amazing job as a younger Bond back in Casino Royale. Ralph Fiennes returns as Bonds' boss "M." I was also glad to hear to that Felix Leiter will also be returning in this film (to be played by Jeffrey Wright - he played Felix in the last few Bond films). W ..read more

On my mind: Book to Movie Adaptations
Buttery Popcorn Movies

Today, at BPMs we take a look at some book to movie adaptations so here we go! 1) Harry Potter -No list discussing top book to movie adaptations would be complete without Harry Potter. The books were just plain amazing, plain and simple. The story developed in each book and always left you on a cliffhanger with the end of each chapter. Deathly Hallows had a satisfying end to it and answered as many questions as possible. How did the movies turn out? The earlier movies follow the books much more closely whereas starting from Prisoner of Azkaban, the movies start to deviate from the books. Pris ..read more

Any good upcoming sequels for 2020?

Today we take a look at any good upcoming sequels that are slated to come out in 2020. Here is a list along with a Buttery Popcorn preview :) 1) Bad Boys for Life: Jan 2020 -Will Smith and Martin Lawerence return to play Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey. This has the chance to be an action-packed movie. While the first Bad Boys back in the mid-1990s was a classic, the sequel to Bad Boys was frankly, terrible (and that is putting it nicely). Hopefully, this Bad Boys will buck that trend. 2) A Quiet Place, Part II: March 2020 -Emily Blunt returns in this sequel from the hit in 2018. If you don ..read more
