This season hasn’t been all bad for the Chicago Bulls – honest!

The Chicago Bulls are fading, playoff dreams are slipping away and now we are left with, hoping for lottery magic? It probably shouldn’t be that surprising. After all, the team did return nearly everyone from a team that went 22-43 last season before the pandemic shut down their season. In retrospect, simply replacing a bad coach and overhauling the front office and expecting a legitimate playoff contender with the same roster was a bit far-fetched. It’s easy to opine now that the roster is flawed. Chicago’s lack of a true distributor never really allowed this team to take flight. Lauri Markka ..read more

Will the Chicago Bulls ever be a free-agent destination?
Bulls Hype

The Chicago Bulls should be a premier free-agent destination, right? Why wouldn’t they be? After all, it’s Chicago, a huge market, bright lights with a passionate fan base with a rich tradition. It’s a world-class city, a midwestern metropolis rising off the shores of Lake Michigan – the best city in the world in the summer. Charles Barkley even said so. What’s not to love? Well, I suppose being a winning NBA franchise consistently would help. The fact that the team plays most of their games when it’s not the summertime doesn’t help matters. The Chicago Bulls haven’t exactly been winning a maj ..read more

Zach LaVine deserves to be an NBA All-Star this season
Bulls Hype

Let me state the obvious here – I’m a Chicago Bulls fan. Yes, I’m a Zach LaVine fan. It’s easy for me to admit, I’m biased. So naturally, yes, I believe that he should finally be making his NBA All-Star game debut next month (let’s not even get into the debate about whether the game should even be happening). It’s no secret how hard the Bulls’ guard has worked to arrive at this moment. One of the hardest workers in the league, LaVine improved in each of his NBA seasons. He’s improved his scoring average in each campaign, discounting his first season with the Bulls when he was recovering from a ..read more

The Chicago Bulls are movin’ on up once again! Let’s be honest, 2020 has been a difficult year for all of us. For the Bulls, however, it’s been quite refreshing since the league shut down in March. First, John Paxson was reassigned and Gar Forman was let go. Then, Bulls president and COO Michael Reinsdorf actually performed an external search for GarPax’s replacement. Reinsdorf anded former Denver Nuggets assistant general manager Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley from the Philadelphia 76ers. Karnisovas and Eversley have led a revamped front office, something that was desperately needed. If ..read more

Did you hear that? That’s the sound of new Chicago Bulls president of basketball operations, Arturas Karnisovas with the mic drop. Did you feel that? That was the earth tilting on its axis as all of BullsNation stood and rejoiced as not only has John Paxson and Gar Forman been removed from their posts atop the Bulls front office, but Jim Boylen has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the team. It happened. In 2020 of all years. We’ve been waiting for this to happen for so long, it started to feel like a dream. Of course, Boylen’s tenure has been a nightmare. The Chicago Bulls have a problem and it’s not (all) Jim Boylen
Bulls Hype
by BullsHype

The Chicago Bulls have a problem. They’ve actually had the same problem for quite a while. We’re talking decades. They’ve tried to cover for it many times. Michael Jordan couldn’t hide it, neither could Scottie Pippen, Phil Jackson, or even Derrick Rose. No, it wasn’t solved when they replaced GarPax. It didn’t get fixed when they traded Jimmy Butler, Rose, or let Tom Thibodeau go. It’s not even Jim Boylen completely, though he really shouldn’t be around anymore. The biggest issue with the Chicago Bulls predates the golden age of Bulls basketball. Yes, the problem has been around for a long ti ..read more
