What a year... As we near the end of the year, what can I say? It’s been a year for the record books. Between a global pandemic, a wild and crazy presidential campaign, and all of the problems that ensued, I think it’s safe to say that it’s been a year that many of us are eager to leave behind. I can still fondly remember watching as our mother would gleefully stitch away at her current needlework project. While she tended to drift in and out of various interests and hobbies over the years, she always loved to create beautiful hand stitched masterpieces. As a matter of fact, I am the proud owner of more than a few of her lovely creations! With Mother's Day right around the corner, I have been thinking a lot about my own sweet mother. We lost her four years ago, but I think of her daily, usually several times each day. It's not that I'm still mourning her loss or dwelling in the past. It's simply the fact that when one person plays such a pivotal role in shaping your thoughts, values, and beliefs, you are never really without them even when they've passed from this life.
