Meet the Brand That’s Dominating the Cannabis Industry
While pot culture’s wildest dreams are manifesting, a critical new era is upon us, and only the strong and business minded will survive.
The question is, how do you become a lion amongst the sheep in this industry? I’ve got a story for you.
But first, here’s a warning from my father, “Don’t smoke pot, you’ll grow man boobs, lose all your hair, and you’ll never be able to get a real job. No one wants to hire a pot smoking loser.”
Here’s a quote from a local news channel (walb.com), “Legal cannabis consumer spending across North Americ ..read more

Cannabis consumers today are becoming more responsible and knowledgeable about what they’re putting into their bodies. Organic cannabis is becoming increasingly popular. Not only is it in high demand but state regulations have been put in place to protect cannabis consumers from dangerous levels of pesticides and nutrients that traditional growers may still be using today.
Lab Testing Sets Standards
Recently Oregonian consumers who enjoy cannabis concentrates experienced a bit of a shortage while new testing standards were being implemented. A higher standard in lab testing was put in place t ..read more

With spring fast approaching and the 2017 outdoor growing season just around the corner, many growers find themselves preparing for their best year yet. On one end of the growing spectrum, the serious cannabis farmers’ genetic libraries consist of vigorous, proven producers. Mother plants are topped frequently, given plenty of light, water and fresh air with hopes of producing multiple clones for the growing season to come. On the other end of the spectrum, others prefer to avoid the costs of indoor overwintering, but rather purchase clones or start seeds anywhere from several months, weeks ..read more

Voyager 1
The seed was said to be discovered by accident. With the mother and father strains virtually unavailable, we were told by the folks at 7 Points Oregon that this seed was literally “dropped off at their door.” After this seed was discovered, it was cultivated by one of 7 Points’ very best, Hans (@hans.grows).
That seed, once pampered to good health, transformed into an overwhelmingly monstrous plant. This little engine that could surprised 7 Points with unexpectedly high yields after what was considered a rather lengthy vegetative phase. Post-harvest, Hans believes Voyager 1’s p ..read more

I have spent most of my life germinating cannabis seeds and I’ve learned a lot during this process that I hope to pass on. While germinating, I was looking for special and unique attributes, effect and flavor. I am not going to get into much detail as far as growing in this article, as it’s more about selection but we have to cover a few basics.
Seeds have many benefits; the most helpful benefit is not introducing pest or problems into a garden like clones can. Another benefit seedlings can provide is health and vigor, as sometimes clones can be old, tired or even diseased without it visibly ..read more

Now, what would you do if you had a warehouse the size of a football field at your disposal? Being a Stoner Magazine reader, we think it’s probably safe to assume that you’d be thinking of the best way to fill it with cannabis plants as did these next growers.
It isn’t every day that you see terminal buds the size of a man’s head, but this particular grow has a good reason for growing cannabis plants that could easily be mistaken for trees. The facility owners are medical users who follow strict regulations limiting their plant count; so in order to grow a lot of medicine, while s ..read more

Kief is a great base component to make edibles, oils, tinctures, hash, and more. Dry ice allows you to efficiently and cleanly extract THC trichomes (aka kief) from the extra trim clippings you have laying around after harvest, without the use of a chemical solvent (that’s our favorite part). The flavor and potency of the resulting kief can be turned into rosin, rivaling solvent-based closed-loop extraction systems. In other words, it will knock your socks off.
Why it works
The dry ice rapidly lowers the temperature of the plant matter making it brittle; this allows the trichomes to be more e ..read more

For our March pairing I thought we’d switch it up a bit. This is a pairing for my socialites out there. These combinations are optimal for parties, band practice, spring skiing, or just sitting around BSing with friends.
I worked with three excellent Southern Oregonian breeders (Phenotype X, Stallion Genetics, Peter the Cannabreeder) to acquire these rare strains for this pairing. What are you growing this year? Maybe some of these strains will inspire some of you to think about seeking out some different seeds or clones for this season. I also stepped out of my comfort zone and chose ..read more
