Hey Booklovers! November is here! Where has the year gone? *sigh* This month I had decided to read around 5 books including my most awaited read from the Acotar series. The second part has received rave reviews while the first is kind of like a stage setting for the series. Anyhoo I finally read it last week and these are my thoughts. Feyre (Fay-ruh) lives in a destitute village on the south side of a wall that divides her country into two sections: the faerie inhabited Prythian, and the small mortal section in the country’s southernmost region. After a brutal war, hundreds of years earlier ..read more

Hey Booklovers! These are two books I read mid August and September. I buddy read them with some of my bookstagram buddies. While the latter was part of a readalong.  GoodreadsEllingham Academy is a famous private school in Vermont for the brightest thinkers, inventors, and artists. It was founded by Albert Ellingham, an early twentieth century tycoon, who wanted to make a wonderful place full of riddles, twisting pathways, and gardens. “A place” he said, “where learning is a game.” Shortly after the school opened, his wife and daughter were kidnapped. The only real clue was a mocking riddle l ..read more

Hey Booklovers! Another review. This is the only thriller I read after a while as part of a bookclub read for October special and I really enjoyed it. Tom, a writer and his son Jake have suffered the appalling loss of their wife and mother, Rebecca. Jake is showing great signs of distress, especially as he found his mother dead at home, so Tom decides they need a fresh start and at Jake’s prompting, chooses a curious and some might say scary house in Featherbank. But as they arrive, a boy is kidnapped, bringing back memories in the community of the child abductions and murders carried out 20 y ..read more

Hey Booklovers! This is a post I wanted to post in the beginning of October but Alas am not participating in the Halloween reads this year. Hence I postponed publishing it. But now as Halloween is so near I figured I might as well put out the books I had in mind to read for the festive spirit. Hope you find them as good! In 1986, Eddie and his friends are just kids on the verge of adolescence. They spend their days biking around their sleepy English village and looking for any taste of excitement they can get. The chalk men are their secret code: little chalk stick figures they leave for one ..read more

Hey BookLovers! I am back after a really long time with a book that finally took me out of a book slump. I didn’t read much for the better part of August and September except few chapters of some books on my TBR. Yet When I started this one I was on a roll. I just couldn’t stop reading. By the end of July I had updated that I am taking a break from Thrillers as I needed some time off them. I have been reading few fantasies here and there and this has become my new favourite. Too bad I have to wait for the sequel! Spin the Dawn is the story of Maia, a girl who dreams of becoming the imperial t ..read more

Hey Booklovers! Before the month of August is over I wanted to post the reviews of the only two books I managed to finish reading this month. In terms of reading it hasn’t been great as you can see with the no updates. I am still trying to read Truly Devious and might finish it before month ends. Am also reading the Priory of the Orange Tree which will no doubt take quiet some time to finish as its 800 pages and I have so far finished seventy eight. Without further ado, lets get on with the reviews. One of my favourite childhood classics is The Beauty and The Beast. Something about their story ..read more

Hey BookLovers! July hasn’t been a great reading month and even though thats no excuse to not stay active on the blog, amongst other things I didn’t get the motivation to check out all your posts and for that I do feel bad. Thriller genre has taken a toll on me and I don’t think I want to read it for a while. My first love will always be fantasy but it takes time to read it and spend so much time with the books which I no longer have especially in this fast paced social media. But I am finally going to give attention to Fantasy with just five months left for the year end.  I had participated i ..read more

Hey Booklovers! July is fast becoming a month of disappointing reads and this one is no better. In fact I enjoyed this the least. Here goes. The president (Jonathan Duncan) discovers a major threat that can jeopardise America, along with the rest of the world, and is faced with making the most arduous decisions of his administration. Enemies are planning an attack of unprecedented scale on USA. A terrorist named Suliman Cindoruk is about to bring America to its knees by activating a virus which will infect the Internet and every computer system in the nation, from banks to missile launchers.
