I have created this blog primarily as an outlet to organize my rambling thoughts. Through this blog, I hope to be able to explain my story, depict my difficulties in being human and a millennial Christ-follower, and show Gods unrelenting love. I pray that God may use my words solely for His glory.

I did not mean for it to have been a year since I last posted.
I have approximately 5 blogs that I drafted in 2020 that I never finished.
And yes, I have many great excuses to not have completed any of them – like writing, finishing, and defending my dissertation, getting engaged, planning a wedding, getting married, searching for jobs, and most recently learning what it means to be a wife (all in the midst of a global pandemic…) — but alas it still feels like I have struggled with posting for different reasons.

I love Advent season. It might be one of my favorite times of the entire year.
Advent is not simply a season to remember Jesus’s birthday (yes, although important!) …. It is a season to remember why Jesus came to earth. A season to remember why we do need a Savior.
It is a season to reflect on our unquenchable need.
I’m coming to realize that I have a lot of need… and I hate it. I hate that I am needy and can’t be self-sufficient. I hate asking for help. It is challenging for me to receive care.

Man, this year has been a whirlwind. As I introduced in my last post (see here!), I started going to counseling about 10 months ago. I want to use this blog post to expand a bit from the things I mentioned previously and to shine light on the things God has been up to recently.
As you may imagine, I received quite the variety of feedback from my last blog.
