Being a Choreographer. A new film about Sofya Gaydukova, a distinctive choreographer, who has been going her own path for many years, looking for different ways of developing in the world of dance.  From the film’s creator, Alisa Aslanova: “I had watched Sofya’s creative journey for many years, and I constantly admired her persistence, which she carried with her on the choreographer’s road – the road filled with a search of senses, language and motivation. Without looking behind on unbelief and doubts she is capable to move forward and do her job in every circumstance, on any scal ..read more

Meet a new hero of the #LPinspiration – Bobur Alimkhodjaev, a photographer from Tashkent.  Bobur came into photography through mobilography, a passion to capture the unusual in ordinary things – the texture of trees, stones, cracked walls, the game of light and shadow, flatness, lines and rhythms – led to the fact that he started burning with an idea to take up photography on a professional level. In his graduate year of medical college, Bobur took painting lessons, dreaming of entering the Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Arts and Design. “When I entered the Faculty of art pho ..read more

This Festive Season we represent our project with Pandora, the main heroine of the special  is a ballerina Eleonora Sevenard.   The jewels from the Timeless collection themselves gave us inspiration to create this project. The story, shot by Alisa Aslanova, was inspired not only by the dramatic theatre world, but also by the space. The Pandora designers – Francesco Terzo and Filippo Ficarelli – searched for inspiration in the cosmic images: “The nocturnal starry sky is an ideal incarnation of dreams and magic, the moon and the stars themselves are ..read more

The film is dedicated to the 10th Anniversary of the Ballerina’s creative journey.   Film by Alisa Aslanova From the author of the film: I met Olga almost at the very beginning of her creative journey. Meet the face of our new documentary! Eva Sergeenkova is a graduate of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy. We spent with Eva one of the most important periods of her student life – the graduation year. We were lucky to capture her preparations to the state exams, her work under the guidance of the professor Marina Leonova, her performance with the Bolshoi Ballet troupe and graduation concerts. This film is more than a portrait of a young ballerina, it is an opportunity to show the inner life of one of the best Ballet Academies in the world.  As though being stepped down from the Renaissance pa ..read more

Blitz with student of the Vaganova Ballet Academy Mara Tudose. Photo Ira Yakovleva Translate Ekaterina Bornovitskaya   First entering the stage I was only 4 years old when I went on stage for the first time. We were doing The Nutcracker with the private ballet school I was at. I was just a little snowflake but the feeling I got while being on stage was just surreal. I also loved my costume so much I didn’t even take it off after the performance so I just fell asleep in it. The most important thing Vaganova Ballet Academy taught you? The Vaganova Ballet Academy not only taught me how t ..read more

It has been long time the Russian ballet has opened its doors to the world, and our domestic theatres confirm the statement. The companies have become very multinational: with the dancers from Korea, Japan, Brazil, USA and Europe. The foreign names are so hotly favourite to the Russian audience, and we’ve been already watching the dancers graduating from Russian academies. La Personne team has met seven foreigners, dancing in Mariinsky Theatre, and created extended photo stories about future (and current!) heroes of the Russian stage. We were wandering with them by the windy Neva costs, we ..read more
