Ah Fantasyland, the embodiment of Disney for many people.  From the numerous classic attractions to Cinderella’s Castle, it is the definition of Disney.  While this part of the park did undergo a fairly significant expansion around 2013, it still holds the essence of what Walt Disney himself envisioned for the Magic Kingdom’s ode to the classic animated characters of Disney.  And with the expansion, that extends to the newer classic characters.  We’ll cover everything you need to know here in our guide to Fantasyland at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. We think of Fantasylan ..read more

Liberty Square is a land that is distinctively American.  With architectural theming from the Colonial era of America, this land in the Magic Kingdom is probably the most relatable to its American guests.  Within these Colonial-era designs, you’ll find varying motifs that represent different colonial outposts.  We’ve seen things that represent to us places from Boston down to Georgia.  We’re not an expert here; we just use our eyes to see things we recognize.  You may find something we’ve never noticed.  But all of it is distinctly Colonial.  We cover all o ..read more

As you pass underneath the Walt Disney World Railroad Station and enter the Magic Kingdom, you are funneled through Main Street U.S.A.  Meant to bring back a sense of early 1900s Americana, you’ll stroll through a town square setting, complete with a flag pole, train station, and ice cream parlor, among other things.  Now, sitting behind all of the turn-of-the-century facades are shops…lots of them.  The visual assault of spending starts immediately.  But more on that in a bit.  For now, this is our guide to Main Street, U.S.A at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom! I hope you enjoyed our Barenaked Ladies reference in the title.  I think that song has lyrics that, in some way, reference the relationship of Disney World and its guests.  Mostly the opening stanza.  If you aren’t familiar with it, the song starts like this: It’s been one week since you looked at me Cocked your head to the side and said I’m angry Five days since you laughed at me saying Get that together come back and see me   Maybe I’m reading too much into it.  I do find it similar, though.  I think Disney World fans are feeling a wide array of emotions about ..read more
