Gabrielle Bejani, "Dipped in Thoughts", 2023 Gabrielle Bejani is a French and Lebanese artist living in London. She is interested in exploring sexuality, intimacy, and sensuality with a feminist lens. In her collages and paintings she examines her own sexual bias and contradicting behaviours with unjudgmental care, reflecting on the fabric of mainstream intimacy. As well as sometimes hinting towards outlines and/or souvenirs of queer feminist utopias. Gabrielle’s description of the work: "This artwork titled Dipped in Thoughts is a multi-media collage composed of several lay ..read more

Hilda Kortei (18th July-29th August 2022) Hilda Kortei, 'Obscured and Withhold", plastic bags, stock photo, paint. 2022 I’m interested in the longevity of the plastic whilst the weather interacts with it. Wind is a material in itself and plastic is like skin. And the bags are pockets, I keep them close. I think the blue bag came from buying plantain and I got the black bag from buying some snacks from the corner shop, so the bags are local to Peckham/Camberwell and so were their contents, sort of. And although I’ve long eaten all three plantains and the Twix, Sensations Thai Sweet ..read more

A print in a typeset designed by Chloe and three large soap sculptures made from latex moulds, of silverfish which crawl around and under the board. Some words Chloe wrote to describe the piece: “The Silverfish. The world's oldest pest. These little shiny crawlies can easily thrive in your home and go unnoticed for a very long time. They like to hide in moist and dark environments - only emerging to creep around at night to forage on sta ..read more

Can’t actually remember how old he was when he did it but it’s been hanging in our kitchen ever since. Putting it up on the Arts Board (with his permission ofc) is my way of thanking him for loving me. It’s my way of thanking him for always protecting me, for backing me up, for gassing me up, for his gentle reassurance whenever my anxiety p ..read more

Kimberley Cookey-Gam 29th November 2021- 4th January 2022 Warm and bright and defenceless, Kimberley’s “Fillers” mark slices and scoops of gentleness between the woody nodules of a tree stump, eroded London brick and chipped concrete. Kimberley’s work speaks to healing. It says, look! at how we can heal!  Kimberley traces shapes then takes them home, where they are dry and sheltered, and then with dexterity, nimble handed, colours them in with wool. Exposed to the harsh December elements, the fillers are glowing and transient. This commission advocates for healing to take u ..read more
