Holidaymakers searching for some winter sun from Norwich Airport will have even more choice next week when TUI moves to twice weekly departures to Tenerife in the Canary Islands. The Canary Islands are a popular winter getaway and TUI already flies from Norwich to Tenerife year-round every Sunday. Norwich Airport, part of leading UK regional airport operator Regional & City Airports (RCA), is using National Cycle to Work Day (August 3) to celebrate the success of two initiatives aimed at encouraging more staff and customers to travel to the airport by bike. Flights to eight holiday destinations with UK leading holiday brand TUI mark the start of a busy summer schedule at Norwich Airport this week (1-7 May 2023). A twice-weekly service to Menorca and Dalaman gets underway, as well as flights to Corfu, Crete, Rhodes, Ibiza and Paphos, which will all operate once a week. Norwich Airport has teamed up with Norfolk and Waveney Mind as its chosen charity of the year. Airport staff will be organising a series of events and fundraising activities over the coming months to help people in need of mental health support. Norfolk and Waveney Mind, supports people in crisis, as well as those looking for general advice and information about dealing with mental health issues. KLM is launching extra flights from Norwich Airport to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport from Monday (27th March), putting over 270 worldwide destinations within even easier reach, and just in time for the Easter holidays. A major recruitment drive is being launched at Norwich Airport in a bid to attract more than 30 new members of staff ahead of a busy summer season. The Airport, which currently employs over 200 personnel, will be holding Jobs Fair on Friday 3 February in the main terminal building from 10am to 3pm.
