TLDR
China has implemented a law to restrict gaming time for minors to 3 hours a week, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, between 8 and 9pm.
China instructed gaming companies to prevent children playing outside these times, and the government will be tracking how well game companies are enforcing this.

ABC iView has a fantastic program for parents that is able to break down a lot of gaming culture and answer frequently asked questions. We were invited to talk about the state of Esports and the the positive and negative impacts it can have.
We believe Esports has tremendous potential to bring high quality gaming experiences while teaching important personal skills that traditional sports usually have the job of doing, but there are definitely risks to overplaying esports or any kind of game.
