A witness called to last week’s Senate inquiry into Olympic Games preparedness may well have blown up the state government’s rationale for its contentious stadium selection for Brisbane 2032. Archipelago founding director Peter Edwards told the inquiry three Olympic venues – a main stadium of between 60,000 and 80,000 seats, an inner-city arena and a permanent aquatic centre – could be built at Victoria Park for $3.4 billion. It would result in 60 hectares of green space, Edwards said, which would be an improvement on the site’s 56 hectares of available green space (more on that later). Havin ..read more

Hi, I’m a 25m and have children, bills and a whole lot else. Stressed to say the least, I’m an experienced bar and gaming attendant and struggle to find work here. I had a mental health break and didn’t work for a few months and since I came back people won’t even look at me? It’s like the whole hospitality Industry in town (TOOWOOMBA) has said something. I have bills piling up, stress destroying my body and I’m so young, doctors are worried about the amount of stress on my body and I am too. I apply every day, I walk into business, I call back people. I just don’t get it. I’m not sure what e ..read more

Just recently went to Hobart and visited the most amazing GF bakery. Had the most incredible sourdough toast. Has anyone found a really great gluten free/low gluten (doesn't need to be strictly celiac!) fresh baked bread at any bakeries in Bris? submitted by /u/Comfortable_Copy_985 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hey all. So im a teacher and im into dnd and for some activity in class today I brought all my dice and now a student is asking me how he can get into dnd. Problem is all the ways i know are geared towards adults. So, I'm wondering if there are an kid friendly events or games nights at stores or something that a 13 year old could go to? Preferably on Brisbane North side as the school is in the outer north suburbs. submitted by /u/perkypan [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Doctor recommendation Logan or Upper Mt Gravatt area? Could anyone recommend a doctor who can provide a referral for blood tests for Vitamin D and Iron then hopefully injections for Iron. I'm female early 30s with ADHD. My symptoms are in line with Vitamin D and Iron deficiency. But I'm struggling to have my symptoms heard by my current doctor without being dismissed as ADHD-related. Thank you! submitted by /u/420uni-corn [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
