Sleepy globe mallow bees. I neglected to bring a banana this morning, so I improvised with a finger for scale. Tucson, AZ D5600 + SB700 + Tamron 90mm 2.8 macro + Cygnustech diffuser submitted by /u/Safe_Concern9956 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Just received a faulty 70–200 mm f/2.8 VR II from mpb.com

The claimed condition was Good. The lens looks fine (just like at the photos), VR works, but autofocus does not (the AF-S motor is silent and most probably dead; have tested it on 2 bodies). Dropped an email to their support but I'm worried about losing my €700. Have you had any recent experience with returning stuff to MPB Europe? I've found a couple of threads here but they are like 5 years old. submitted by /u/LetsTwistAga1n [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Looking to dabble into photography. Guy at work has this camera with maybe 200 pictures taken on it nearly brand new. Bought it for his wife and she said it was too difficult to use. Comes with what is pictured and a carrying case, would this be a good entry level camera? He also only wants $250 ?! submitted by /u/Lemon_Limesss [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Loose Zoom Ring Rubber Grip on 20-35mm f/2.8 D AF

I recently acquired a used Nikon 20-35mm D AF. Today while I was out shooting I was turning the zoom and when I hit the end of the zoom range the rubber started slipping around the ring. The zoom works correct and smoothly, it's just that the rubber is slipping. I can hold the ring tighter and turn but it's slightly annoying. Are there any fixes for this? I doubt any parts are still available for this lens. submitted by /u/G_Peccary [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

A Lens upgrade or go Mirrorless?

I have a nikon D3200 with a kit lens. It was bought way back 2014 and only used ocassionally - family gatherings, and stuff. A few months back I have been hooked up into photography and have been practicing shooting manual. I am mainly into architecture and landscape photography. I knew the limitations of only using a kit lens and so my first choice was purchasing a prime lens 50 or 35mm 1.8G. On the other hand, I’m thinking that the camera is getting old and I atleast need to invest in a newer technology which I can use for the next 10-15 years? And much more easier to pack for travel. From my Insta: Officialy introducing „Luca‘s view“ (Pt.1) a series of photos taken after a long day of work at the track, where your only job is to deliver. After work is done, and shot what the clients want, it‘s nice being able to shoot what I like to shoot. This is the wrong place if you‘re looking for pinsharp pictures of racecars going 200 mph. At the end of the day, i pack everything up and take a different camera mounted with a cheap manual lens and wander trough a paddock of people ending their day on their own. Some are blurry or not completely in focus, but that‘s ok. I enjoy th ..read more

I just bought a second hand D3300 and it came with a Nikon 55-200mm lens - is it broken?

Hi all, so for the beginner photographer post but I'm very confused - I tried researching it, but I'm still unsure. I saw this D3300 for sale for pretty cheap, it came with a charger and battery, and this 55-200mm lens. I was going to get a 18-50mm lens so my thought was "okay cool, another lens to use when ready." The smallest part of the lens at the end (the part that's stuck out in the photo) sticks out and I can't manually retract it, it only moves when the camera is on and the autofocus is moving it. If I switch it to the M setting it will just stay locked in whatever position it wa ..read more

Z6/Z6ii & Z7/Z7ii ProRes Raw upgrade no longer available?!

Hey there, first time writing on here. I was just doing some research about ProRes and N-log for my Z6 and just realized that Nikon is no longer offering the option for you to ship your camera to them to have it upgraded in order to shoot compressed raw externally. That goes for Nikon Canada and U.S. However Nikon Asia is still offering it. I was on their website 2weeks ago and the option was available. Do anyone have any idea as to why? Could it be due to them buying Red? And will Nikon offer futur upgrade options for Red raw for the same cameras mentioned above? Anyhow, what do you guys thi ..read more
