I am looking for DND one shot with horror, pervy/creepy vibes

Title says it - I am not sure if you can recommend anything with the perverted part, but would be great. Last year we played Tasha's Mad House and also later on Shemshine with some "put in some more creepy" adjustments. This time they want even more. Even though they really enjoyed the experience seems like my players are saying "We want it to be more scary, creepy and if possible perverted". Well you can always try more scary - but I am unsure about the "perverted" part. They don't mean exactly po*n but something like naked characters stabbing each other type thing. Imagine sexy creepy horro ..read more

Campaign ended in the most unlikely of ways

Little backstory to set the stage. Our campaign that we've been working on for a year or so was coming to it's conclusion tonight as our DM has asked to step down and have someone else DM, which I will be doing but in a different storyline and setting. He is a hard ass DM and told us he will not shy away from killing all our characters if given the chance and will not pull punches or fudge rolls. Respect. Our characters are all undead and semi-resurrected mostly through a powerful Archlich to help stop a former Paladin, now Death Knight, that stole his artifacts. If we destroy him we are give ..read more

Anyone else get frustrated by chaotic good or neutral good murder hobos?

My character is chaotic neutral. We had an npc betray us for 10k gold. I respected it because that's an insane amount of gold, but we caught on and they failed. We kicked them off our ship in a barrel and said good luck with the blessings of our cleric of Umberlee, thinking fuck it let the odds ever be in you favor fam. But then the good party members egged on our chaotic good companion to light an arrow and set her on fire at sea afterwards. Idk... rubs me wrong. submitted by /u/Sublime-Silence [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

What snacks to use as enemies?

We all know and love using gummy bears/skittles/similar candy as miniatures for your bad guys in the dnd game, with the player who gets the killing blow getting to eat the dead baddie. But some monsters require larger miniatures than a normal medium-sized creature. A gummy bear just doesn't convey the scale of an ancient red dragon. So, what treats do you would be appropriate for bigger baddies? submitted by /u/Traxathon [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

[OC] I almost threw them away!

Tried the new pizza place in town the other night. Their pizzas came with the little center triangle protectors. When we fished the pizzas, I nearly threw them out, but then an idea popped into my head. They were the perfect size for representing floating characters/creatures. They're not very tall, and I only have two, but after cleaning them up and trying the out, they appear to be the perfect size! submitted by /u/kabula_lampur [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

[OC]Shadow of the Abyss

The “Shadow of the Abyss” is a majestic and terrifying depiction of the Dragon of Decay, immersed in a world where desolation and beauty converge. Every detail of the creature, from its corroded scales to the eyes that gleam with sinister light, bears witness to enchanting decay. Its tattered wings extend with somber elegance, echoing the silence of a forgotten realm. Rich textures and monochromatic tones are interrupted by touches of ethereal luminescence, creating a visual contrast that is both unsettling and mesmerizing. The composition deftly balances the grotesque and the sublime, invit ..read more

What subclasses of individual classes do you think could actually work as being incorporated into the main class?

My crack at it: Beast Master (Tasha's) for Ranger. I mean, animal companions for every ranger would be sweet. Fey Wanderer could have a Fey companion, the Swarm keeper needs no explanation, there's the drakewarden, you get the idea. I think it would go a long ways to giving rangers something that makes them pop far more than they usually do. submitted by /u/SilentTempestLord [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Did You Try Talking To Them?

I honestly don't mean this in a snarky way. But most of the social problems (My DM, Player, Fellow PC is doing X, what do I do to make them stop?) all seem to me, to come down to not talking above table. D&D is a social game for human beings. You have to interact. It doesn't work otherwise. It's that or go back to single player video games, ok? And don't worry! For every jerk you try to talk to that blows you off, there's 100 other people in this hobby that won't, honest! If your experience is wildly different from this I don't know what to tell you except you're the common denominator in ..read more
