Hi everyone and welcome to another Handmade Monday, our weekly link up. I’m so pleased you could join us. Handmade Monday is a place for sharing craft ideas, recipes and all things handmade or just looking through the ideas that others have shared to get some new ideas. My thoughts are turning to spring, I feel like I’m done with winter now! Enough with the wet and windy weather, I’m ready for a touch of warmth now. The good thing about dark miserable evening is that they are perfect for a spot of crochet or knitting in front of the tv aren’t they? I’m cracking on nicely with my spotty baby blanket, I’ve been posting updates on Instagram if you want to take a peek. I also had a request from my mother in law this week. She had some little crochet doilies that she’d made years ago and wanted to make again but couldn’t find the pattern for them. I’ve been trying to work them out for her, I’m nearly there, they just need a few tweaks. Then I need to write the pattern out in a ‘proper’ way so she can understand it! My nan used to always work from crochet that already existed rather than patterns and I thought it was magic but actually when you get the hang of it, it is pretty easy to work out what’s been done. My biggest issue has been that my mother in law is left handed so she crocheted these doilies anticlockwise, the opposite way round to me! Her originals are the 2 little white ones and the larger brighter ones are my attempts to recreate the pattern. Here are the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. If you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project. This revamped phone case by Common Sparrows is so pretty, it’s hard to believe it was just a plain black before. Have you ever thought about making your own garden bench? Abbotts at Home show you how to make this beauty! I love a good furniture makeover and this one from Unique Creations by Anita is stunning. She really did transform a very tatty old table into something amazing. Congratulations to you all. There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog. I think you should - you deserve it!!!    If you are a creative blogger who likes to share here regularly then don’t forget to join our Handmade Monday Pinterest Board To join the board just follow the board and then send me a request.    Hi everyone and welcome to another Handmade Monday, our weekly link up. Join us by sharing your craft ideas, recipes and all things handmade or just browse through the ideas that others have shared.. We are having a right old storm here in the UK right now. Not a political one (although we always have plenty of them!) this time a actual super windy, rainy storm. Definitely a weekend for staying in a crocheting, knitting or sewing!. What’s happening where you are in the world? I know some parts of Australia now thankfully have had some much needed rain, and I’ve seen photos on IG of lots of snow in Canada. I found some snowdrops earlier in the week, back when we had some of those lovely, pleasant cold but bright and sunny days (probably my favourite weather!) I always like to snap a photo of the first snowdrops of the year that I come across. Ok, so now here are the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. If you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project. I LOVE a good button craft, especially one that uses buttons from an inherited button box like this beautiful heart plaque from Sweet Pea with Paula Skulina. Pam from An Artful Mom shows us how to use a glass tipped pen. I have only dabbled with calligraphy and letter art but I can’t imagine anything more elegant that this! The bathroom can be a tricky place to keep smelling pleasant! Chas’ Crazy creations has some really practical ideas to make the smallest room also the sweetest smelling! Congratulations to you all.    It is time for another Handmade Monday, our weekly link up. Join us by sharing your craft ideas, recipes and all things handmade or just browse through the ideas here. I’ve been sharing my granny square crochet for the last few weeks but I have put that down for a bit as I have 2 baby blankets to make now. I love to make a blanket when a new baby is expected and we have 2 sets of friends, both due in the summer. I need to get busy and get these done before I return to my granny squares. I may of course not do that, I love switching between projects as the mood takes me! You’ll be seeing this blanket on Insta as it progresses. Here are the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. If you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project. Isn’t this crocheted bag from Krazy Kabbage just lovely? I love the effect of the heart with the stripy texture of the crochet. This squishy knitted cushion cover from Sew Can Do is just gorgeous. It’s an arm knitting effect but not done on your arm. Cheryl has some great tips and a link to a video tutorial that she ‘tweaked’ to make the perfect cushion. I’ve discovered a new thing that has different words in the UK and the US. I come across these all the time; cushion/pillow, lolly/popsicle, lift/elevator, tap/faucet etc but this week when Keeping it Real shared this brilliant idea for reusable kitchen towels I discovered another. I would call this kitchen roll not kitchen towels. We have ‘paper towels’ here but they are more the ones you get in a school kitchen or in the toilets (bathroom!!!) where there is no electric hand dryer. The ones that fold up almost concertina like and then come out of the dispenser one at a time. Anyway, whatever you call it this is a great idea! Congratulations to you all.    It is time for another Handmade Monday, our weekly link up. Join us by sharing your craft ideas, recipes and all things handmade or just browse through the ideas here. My TV crochet granny squares are coming along nicely, but I started a new project this week too! 2 sets of friends have announced they are expecting babies in the summer so it would be rude not to start a baby blanket for each of them wouldn’t it? I’ve discovered The Good Place on Netflix (our son suggested it) so I’ve found that a ‘really easy to binge on a miserable winter evening’ show, I’ve just finished series 2 and have found it really funny, the perfect accompaniment to some simple crochet! Here are the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. If you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project. The Creative Twins shared this lovely little papercraft folio album. Click through on the photo to see the details and the inside of the album. Raj’s Craft Hobby has a pattern for this cute little bunny mug cozy. Who doesn’t love a pom pom tail? Last but not least is this beautifully styled potting bench by Kristi from French Creek Farmhouse. To be honest this is not the sort of thing I normally feature here at Handmade Monday, I usually go for the ‘show me how to make the pretty thing’ style posts but I just fell in love with this gorgeous potting bench. Kristi knows how to make things look great doesn’t she? And it’s not all style over substance either, it’s filled with actual things that are useful too. Congratulations to you all. There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog. I think you should - you deserve it!!!    Don’t forget to join our Handmade Monday Facebook Group If you are one of our craft bloggers, linking up your projects here, please share your projects in the facebook group too.
