Hi just wondering if the garage is on point with their diagnosis here. Car overheated on a motorway run and system would not hold coolant if just flooded straight out somewhere underneath. AA truck back to garage. Garage says it’s the thermostat I asked them to confirm they have actually looked at the coolant leak since fixing the thermostat isn’t going to fix a leak in the cooling system and it seems likely a system with no coolant would have caused the thermostat error. I just got my car and can’t figure out why I’m having trouble getting my iPhone 14 to connect to wireless charging. I’ve taken off the phone case and placed it center on the charging pad and still nothing. This is my first car that has wireless charging and thought it’d be simple to use but hopefully someone can help and knows a solution to this. I am looking to take my car for tints this weekend but was surprised when a shop turned me down saying they don’t tint e classes due to some module in the rear that can fry the car if water touches it. This of course caused me to do some research in which I see some people asking about it but no clear answers on which models are affected and if this is a concern or not for my car. I bought a 2018 E400 Coupe about a week ago and loving it. I did however recently notice the part in the attached picture came loose and won’t clip back in, looks like both clips are broken. How crucial is this part, will it affect the car in any way and am I okay to double side tape the sides for it to stay in (broken clips are the side closest to the engine. So I was driving my car to work and my whole car randomly shut off and I have to pull over I opened my trunk and a heap of smoke came out I checked the battery and my whole negative cable was melted all the way to the ground on the chassis I’ve had this issue ever since my started was replaced and the first time there was a wrench on my terminal. After replacing the battery and cable from a local junkyard this situation happened today.
