Last week I showed you how to dry herbs. If you missed that post you can see it here. At the same time I was doing that, I also trimmed some of my basil plant because I heard you can grow it by rooting it in water. For some reason I never knew that. I have always grown from seed or just bought a grown plant. Anyway, you can see here how quickly the basil did root! I'm going to plant them in this large bulb pot to get started. I decided to dry some herbs this afternoon. I am so disgusted by how much money I spend at Publix!I added up a months worth and it's too horrifying to discuss. It got me thinking about ways to cut back on household items and groceries.  If you are like me, you probably pick up potted herbs once in a while, relishing how good the fresh leaves and stems look and smell. Someone asked me if I went to the Mango festival this past weekend. I'm like, seriously? You think I am willingly going to stand around treeless Bayview Park in the middle of a perfectly good Saturday, heat index up in the triple digits all to eat and drink all things Mango? Trailer Bid Package Are you in need of a travel trailer? FKAA is auctioning some off. They can only be viewed Thursday and Friday. Here is a photo we took today.
