Hi all,
Which of the above would you recommend for a McCallum ABW set (for a beginner, if that makes any difference)?
Thanks

Hey peeps. ??
I have a very expensive set of pipes that I’m looking to protect against a lot of future travel to Scotland and Canada. I’ve seen a few people lately with Pelican cases and they seem ok. Some of their models are more practical than others. I’m not crazy about taking the tenor tops off and tearing out foam for them so they’re not rolling around. I get the idea but I’d rather stick to something where the bass gets broken down and that’s it. If I can get a pelican”ish” one with wheels, a telescoping handle, inside lid pouches and the ability to not pull the pipes apart other than t ..read more

Could anyone help me, My sister's wedding is coming up soon and she wan't me to play stick season on pipes after seeing a video by Dougie the piper playing it but he hasn't made any sheet music for it, and I.m quite bad at playing along to videos. Does anyone have any advice on getting the sheet music or could help me create it, I contacted him but got no replies. Thanks

I've been playing with a band since 2018 and feel my progress is plateauing. I'd like to get some 1-on-1 instruction and start competing in solo comps. Does anyone have a recommendation or useful tips/experience to share?
I am looking specifically for 1-to-1 lessons, not a group class.

Today I was on the way home from a band practice, talking to my PM about this and that and up came the topic of the top pipers past and present. One of the main questions we discussed was what area of playing that each player was most “proficient” or I suppose was known for. Alasdair Gillies and Willie McCallum were/are known for their MSR’s, etc. One we didn’t necessarily have an answer for was Stuart Liddell. I am a major fan of his playing and simply know him to be a sort of all-around player. Thoughts?
