Thoughts on 1 Timothy 2:1-7:
Five Finger Prayer
-The thumb represents family members because it is closest to you.
-The index represents public teachers because they are always tell you what to do. This is where you pray for missionaries and church leaders.
-The middle represents authority because it is the tallest and pictures both civic and spiritual authority.
-The ring finger represents the weakest widows, orphans and those needing help.
-The little finger represents yourself and your needs.

Thoughts on 1 Timothy 1:3-7
How does truth and love come together? I can’t give you an example for every truth there is, but I saw an example of it in an unlikely place on the television program “Last Man Standing.” One of the characters named Kyle was feeling called to ministry and he was explaining his faith to his boss who was a skeptic and ribbing him. His boss said, “I suppose you believe you’re going to heaven and I’m headed for hell.”

M-Meditate on go ..read more

Thoughts on Hebrews 13:15-25
I believe the best illustration of the nature of submission is found in 1 Corinthians 16:15-17. Please turn there [OVERHEAD ONE]. The word “devoted” in verse 15 is the Greek word τάσσω (tasso) meaning “to give oneself to as in battle.” The thought is that you are at war and need to listen to the commanding officer on the hill for the sake of your life and the whole army. In the King James Version, it is translated “addicted.”
All that is involved with drug addiction was present with this family of Stephanas. They were ministers. They couldn’t stand to be aw ..read more

Thoughts on Hebrews 12:14-17:
The trouble is when we live according to our fleshly desires and don’t consider God, we poison our perspective toward everything and everyone. Esau, like all who give into physical appetites, whether it is a sexual addiction or food or drug addiction, regret it after the lust is fulfilled. Temporary insanity passes and then you realize what you have done.
Esau traded his future for a temporary present satisfaction. He didn’t lose his salvation or his sonship, but he lost his birthright. He didn’t fall from salvation but from grace which would have helped ..read more
