I can’t believe it…I’m turning 35 years YOUNG on February 6th! That’s right, I’m an Aquarius through and through
I think back over the years and I’m so grateful. I don’t know if you know my whole story (#triggerwarning), but by the time I was 28 years old, the accumulated trauma of a childhood with a drug-addicted mother, my brother’s murder, a failed marriage, and two second-trimester miscarriages resolved to kill me.

Thursday evening, one of my business buddies tagged me in a post about a struggle I know all too well. Here’s what she wrote:
“I think it’s important to talk about these things as people and biz owners. I’m having a rough time, and I think my recurring depression has been hitting me hard.
I’ve cried and had some dark thoughts this week. Thoughts that I wasn’t cut out for this, that I’m a fake, that I don’t have anything important to say. That the people that like me just like a person I’ve cultivated, that no one could actually ever tolerate who I “really” am.

Another year gone by…
That’s what 2019 will be if you don’t make the commitment to fulfill your purpose.
Going after what you truly desire can be scary. Like me, you may fear the unknown, you may doubt your ability to do what it takes, or you may overwhelm yourself by thinking about the HOW.

Did you know: A lack of coaching and mentorship is one reason Black women don’t advance in leadership and entrepreneurship.
