Hi everyone! It’s Rita here. We’re keeping up with our commitment of bringing you new, vegan recipes on a regular basis now. This one is our take on a typical Portuguese dish and it is exceptionally simple and quick to prepare. We mention it takes 20 minutes to put together, but in reality, you could get this done in under 15 minutes! You could prepare these in advance and keep them in the fridge for 2-3 days and they’re super family friendly. Even kids enjoy these fritters, especially if you add them to sandwiches and wraps (think egg sandwich!) Let us know if you give this a go! Enjoy ..read more

Hi everyone! This is a blog post that I know many of you were longing to read. Ever since I first started posting about cloth diapers on Instagram (and I don’t even do it often), lots of questions started pouring in and many friends showed interest in knowing more about our routine and how we got into it in the first place. Well, it was me (Rita) who first introduced the idea in our household, after falling in love with how simple and logical Mango Island Mama (@ellenfisher on Instagram) made it seem in her YouTube videos. We love following her journey ever since they were a little family of t ..read more

Hi there, everyone. It’s Rita here. This is the first recipe we’ve shared in over a year. We’ve been quite busy, first growing a baby and now raising said baby for a little over 6 months now. Our journey through parenthood has been as wonderful as it is challenging, just as it is supposed to be. For the very first time in our adult lives, it really is essential that the whole process of preparing food, including shopping for ingredients and the actual mealtimes, is as simple as possible. During the first few weeks after Simão was born, we turned to the stash of frozen meals we had prepared dur ..read more

There has been a whopping increase in the interest in vegan products and vegan content in the past few years. As such, there is now a greater offer than ever before! This applies to foods, restaurants, apparel... and, of course, it applies to cookbooks as well! We are also very thankful to have published our own vegan cookbook in April 2017 (so far, it’s been published in Portuguese only, but we’re hoping that a publishing deal will come along that will allow us to reach a greater audience). We collect vegan cookbooks (who would guess!) not only because we love to gather inspiration from amazi ..read more

This post contains affiliate links. Hello, and welcome to one of our first ever posts from the newly founded Baby section of the blog. We’re starting off by answering one of the most frequent questions we get via our social media channels: what are the baby products that we love and recommend. Right from the get go, we tried to keep things to a minimum and we avoided buying certain products we felt would only be of use for a very limited amount of time, namely toys and accessories. Say, a bathtub thermometer, for instance. We chose not to get one and we were right to do so… when it comes to w ..read more

Hello everyone! It’s Rita here, ready to tell you all about the books we read during our vegan pregnancy. Not everything that is learned is contained in books. In fact, there’s nothing like going through actual pregnancy and childbirth to learn what it is all about! Nonetheless, there are a few books out there that were super helpful to us during this special period of our lives. I was never one to embark on a new journey without doing a fair bit of research first. And being pregnant and becoming a mama has been the biggest and most important journey of André and I’s life together so far. We d ..read more
