Hello everyone.
I found this camera on auction recently; it's a weird beast. Any idea of its manufacturer or purpose? I am at a loss.

I got this camera not long ago for a low resale price, and I have a feeling the specks on the inner lens (don’t know any specific terminology) are something to do with it. I didn’t notice them until after I bought the camera and tried to take photos outside. Is there any way to remove the outer lens and clean it, or was it just an unlucky purchase? Thank you in advance.

Hey all,
My father has been getting back outdoors recently and does a fair bit of bird watching and just generally hanging out outside watching animals near his property. He has an old iphone that just doesnt cut it as far as taking photos of said animals goes.
I'm looking for a recommendation for a standalone camera that is ideally: older-person friendly (he is not techy at all, but i can teach him to an extent for necessary things), has good zoom capabilities while maintaining some semblance of picture quality (the 100 photos of grainy/pixelsted birds on his camera roll is what id like to a ..read more

Hi! I got a new digital camera (canon powershot SD 1100 IS ELPH) from ebay and I took a few pictures in the morning (10 pictures). When I checked a few hours later they all got deleted? I didn't delete any of them. The seller provided an SD card, which was Sandisk Extreme 256 MB. I'm wondering if there's an unfixable issue with the camera? Any advice is appreciated.
Added Note: this has happened twice now actually while I was waiting to write this post. Both times, all photos are gone. I tried putting the SD card in the locked/unlocked position (as per the seller's advice), which hasn't worke ..read more

Does anybody know anything about this camera? I was given all my grandparents stuff after their passing and they had a bunch of old cameras. Curious about this one.

What camera would you buy to solely use at night to record mostly video, in dark locations maybe torchlit. Graveyards, dark alleyways, woods all night. Moonlit and torches mostly and some street lights. Is there a particular camera that shines for this purpose, possibly a lens also to fit the bill.

Hi everyone! I’m new here. So I’ve been interested in getting into photography and am thinking about getting a camera. The thing is that I’ve heard iPhone cameras are actually pretty great so I’m wondering, what kind of camera is equivalent to the camera on my iphone 11 pro max? I was thinking for example about getting a used digital camera but I’ve heard it said that most iPhones have better cameras than any digital camera under $100. So I guess my question is, how much would I have to invest in to get a camera that can outperform my iphone?

Not sure if this can even be replaced but trying my luck with the experienced people. I found the battery latch door parts but not that one.

Hi, looking for some advice here. I am looking to buy my first mirrorless camera. I have some experience with a 10-year old Nikon DSLR but want to switch to mirrorless.
I'm a hobbyist and will mainly be using my camera during travels and hikes, for stuff like nature photography, landscapes or street photography. I still consider myself a bit of a novice and want a camera that has great automatic functions for when I'm feeling lazy but allows me to tinker and experiment with different settings as well. I use Lightroom but am not looking to do lots of post-editing.
I narrowed my options down to ..read more

Hello! I'm looking for a portable camera that is kind of cheap. I'm not super huge on photo quality, as long as it's better than a phone camera I'd be happy. Also if prefer it to be small and a little durable? I'm into hiking
