Meet Rosie and Laurie. Two good eggs who planned a rather wonderful laid back wedding in a real local gem, The Plaza Theatre, Stockport.  This is a real jewel in Stockport’s crown. The art deco building overlooks a shopping centre and the contrast between the 1930s theatre and the modern town square is remarkable. As you step into the interior you are welcomed by an old fashioned ticket booth and beautiful oak panelled walls. The auditoriium itself is stunning, you are whisked back in time as you enter and, as the organist rises from beneath the stage, you’d be forgiven for thinking y ..read more

I am so bloody excited to be blogging this wedding. It’s a cracker from start to finish and features one of my favourite venues, Silverholme Manor up in the Lake District.  I joined the girls who were getting ready at Silverholme, everyone was in high spirits and there wasn’t a trace of nerves in sight, I think Carly was just counting down the hours until she saw Ian!  Ian and the boys were getting ready in a cottage just down the road so I was able to nip down there to get pictures of them all getting ready. For the guys that basically means watching YouTube to find out how to tie a ..read more

“I cannot recommend Hannah enough. Her work speaks for itself but she is also a lovely person. I think with some wedding photographers I was looking at, I got the feeling they’d just be wishing they were shooting at a five star Tuscan venue, but Hannah exudes this lovely non-judgmental calmness. Neither was she fazed by any faffing before group shots or slight changes to our schedule. She was nothing short of a professional and I actually kind of wanted to sit and just have a chill and a cup of tea with her on the day, such was her lovely presence.” Meet Kate and James, two of the lov ..read more

“Hannah, I am just dying. We’ve watched the slideshow 3 times already and I just go from laughing to crying and back again. They are absolutely amazing, I just love them so much. They’re absolutely gorgeous, we can’t thank you enough. Definitely the best wedding album I’ve ever seen. I just can’t say enough how much we love them.” I first met Jane and Steve at Bonnie and Pete’s rather amazing Darwin Lake wedding. Fast forward to this spring and we met up to talk about their own wedding plans. Jane was pregnant and, little did I know, I was pregnant as well. So on the wedding day there ..read more

Late last year an email dropped into my inbox – the more I read it the more my eyes lit up. “Hi Hannah, we are holding our wedding at the family home of our best man up in the Lake District. We’re planning an outdoor ceremony, plus a home made cinema. We want a fun and informal wedding full of entertainment!” That sounds just like a wedding I wanted to be involved with! A quick Skype later and I was booked in, I couldn’t wait to meet Kate and Tom and their gorgeous little girl.  Weddings at Halecat House As soon as I set eyes on Halecat House I fell in love with it – and a ..read more

I’ve got an absolute corker of a wedding to share with you today. Shee and Jean’s homage to Glastonbury. A mega festival wedding that is full of colour and packed with a heck of a lot of fun. There is SO much to see in this blog and I found it super hard to whittle it down to a few favourites. These guys went to town and made their day a personal, family centred celebration with friends taking centre stage and a huge emphasis in celebrating their love, their life and everything that means the world to them.  Ashton Memorial wedding Perched high above Lancaster is the stunning A ..read more

Meet Helen and Stephen, two bloody lovely humans who took over Skipbridge Country Weddings for a day of games, fun, boats and a touch and go outdoor ceremony.  This was the first time I had photographed a wedding at Skipbridge Country Weddings and I’m determined it won’t be my last. What a place! A large marquee was set out on the lawn, when I arrived Stephen and his team of groomsmen were sorting out the lawn games (and having the odd sneaky practice too!) before heading over to their cottage to get ready.  I joined the girls in their cottage, handily next door to the boys, wh ..read more

Oh hey there! I’ve been a bit slack on the old blogging front recently. A busy wedding season plus a house move and growing a baby has meant that social media has taken a backseat to actually shooting, editing and delivering weddings (the fun part of our job!). However I’m now back on the marketing train and ready to show off all the, well, the rather bloody marvellous, weddings days I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of.  Earlier this year I joined Laura and Jonathan for their wedding at the fab Owen House Wedding Barn in Mobberley, Cheshire. I’d met up with them at the beginning of ..read more

Chinese tea ceremonies, donkeys, alpacas, two wedding dresses and a ceildh. Lauren and Danny had gone all out for their day and it was MEGA!  Hold on, let me correct that, these aren’t just any old donkeys and alpacas. This is a donkey in a flat cap and alpacas wearing bow ties. All dressed up for a wedding do!  Weddings at the Wellbeing Farm The ceremony room had been decked out in colourful origami, bright flowers and ribbons. Lauren and Danny had told me they wanted their day to be all about fun and they’d gone to town with that. They’d chosen the Wellbeing Farm as it ..read more

Buckle up guys, I’ve got a corker of a wedding on the blog for you today. Meet Alex and Phil. These two gorgeous people have the most infectious smiles and are one of the funniest couples I’ve ever met. Their day was packed full of fun from start to finish and I don’t think I stopped smiling once – even my camera couldn’t hide my massive grin!  Alex and Phil had basically planned a festival in Phil’s parent’s garden, with a short ceremony at Chester Town Hall to kick off the party.  Once the ceremony was over (it was short, these two knew they didn’t want to hang around and pro ..read more
