Priston Mill Wedding It does actually seem like an age ago I photographed this wedding, let alone blogged about one. This Priston Mill wedding is one of the many I need to put pen and paper to! Believe it or not this was from all the way back in 2019! Before the craziness that has hit the world. This is also my first blog post since lockdown, I’m pacing myself as I have a whole load to get through. No rush though, you’ve got to take your time with these things! Ellen and Rob are the loveliest people, a wedding photographers dream couple I guess; really friendly, welcoming and you could see the ..read more

Cheltenham Wedding Photography – The First Dance

This is from a Cheltenham wedding I haven’t blogged yet, I will do shortly though. Some couples are not into first dances and some really are. I’ve been at weddings where the couple have broken out in a totally choreographed set and blown everyone away, and I’ve been at weddings when the couple don’t want any attention like that at all. Both are totally fine, it’s all about what you want, just make sure you don’t end up doing a dance that you’re going to look back on and wonder why the heck you did that! These guys were somewhere in between; they were just themselves and they pulled it off wit ..read more

Emma and Ant – Cornwall Wedding Photography

This blog post should have happened a long time ago! This Cornwall wedding ticked all the boxes for a perfect wedding. The location, the weather, the food, the amazing band (Firekind, the best I have heard to date) and everyone enjoying themselves to the max. It was all the good stuff rolled int one. Emma and Ant’s Cornwall wedding is so good to look back on now we are in the middle of winter, quite therapeutic actually. The day started at Rick Steins seafood restaurant which has some rooms above it which over look the harbour in Padstow. I got there a little early which meant I had to do the ..read more

Amanda and Phil – Kingscote barn wedding

Amanda and Phil’s Kingscote Barn wedding Somehow, at the end of every wedding, I feel like I’ve just done something really good and worthwhile. You could argue I’ve just taken a bunch of pictures of people having a good time, and that is true of course. But it’s more than that. It’s about being a part of a day that has lots of history already. Not just the couple’s history, but the history of the families involved, the friends (occasionally animals too!); how people met, the family Christmases spent together, the holidays, you know, life and all the bits and bobs that make it all what it is. I ..read more

Tim and Georgina – Warminster Wedding

What a perfect day this Warminster wedding was. Tim and Georgina, with the help of lots of family and friends, put together the most epic and memorable of wedding days. All the details, all the preparations, were carefully worked out and made for an amazing celebration. I met Tim and Georgina a couple of times before their wedding. Both times someone in our little group was quite ill! I was starting to think that maybe someone would be ill on the day, thankfully no one was. The day went off without anyone being sick – not from health reasons anyway. Tim and Georgina are the kind of people you ..read more

Bathampton Wedding – David and Jen

Where do you start with David and Jen’s Bathampton wedding? Let’s start with kilts. I don’t know the story of the kilt, why it’s a thing, why the Scottish love them so hard, but they do. Whenever I see one at a wedding (there’s always one at a wedding) I think to myself “this guy is going to have a good time”. I don’t know what it is, or why it is, it just is, kilts will make you enjoy any activity by 10-20%. At Dave and Jen’s wedding, about 50% of the guys were wearing kilts. When I did the math I figured that this wedding was going to equal a complete belter of a day; and I was right. The da ..read more

The Barn at South Milton – Clara and John

The Barn at South Milton is one of those one in a million venues, totally stunning, attention to detail and set in the most amazing Devon country side with incredible coastal views. Clara and John got married at All Saints church in South Milton. It was only a short little ride down the hill, but if you got caught with a tractor coming the other way then you could be sitting in your car for some time. That happened on the way down to the church, thankfully I left before Clara! This wedding was very special for a number of reasons, suffice to say, these families came together in a time of hards ..read more

Just One Image – Tim and Georgina

Tim and Georgina’s Marquee Wedding. I love this image from Tim and Georgina’s marquee wedding, it’s a wedding I can’t wait to blog, it was so full of fun and emotion. This is an image of a few of Georgina’s bridesmaids. They were so invested in this wedding, and one of them had played a major roll in bringing Tim and Georgina together. The emotion was palpable, the joy, the laughter, the tears. I was left thinking at the end of the day how amazing it is when friends get to celebrate each other. It’s not something you see that often, but at weddings you come across it all the time. With friends ..read more

Berwick Lodge Wedding – David and Emma

These guys were super early booking me for their Berwick Lodge wedding. I think they were the first booking that came in for 2019. I met them round their house for a cup of tea and a chat through the day, it all seemed quite distant at the time, but as we all know, wedding dates come round fast, and for us wedding photographers the season seems to come round super quick. Emma and David were really laid back and photographing their wedding was a pleasure. There was a lot of humour, and a few traditions particularly on the dance floor, that I enjoyed. (you’ll see some of that in the images). At ..read more
