Now that the 2023 Wedding Season is over, I thought it would be interesting to examine my lens choices for the year. I shot 17 Weddings in 2023, yielding a combined delivery total of 7,322 images. The results are in, regarding the lenses and in descending order, it is: Fujifilm 18mm F1.4 Fujifilm 56mm F1.2 Fujifilm 50mm F2.0 Viltrox AF 27mm F1.2 Fujifilm 33mm F1.4 There are a few caveats that should be mentioned here. I only rented the Fujifilm 50mm F2.0 for a few mon ..read more

On the official Fujifilm YouTube channel, a lot of people were asking about how the film was made and by whom. So I did a quick Q&A with my friend and amazing Documentary Filmmaker, Chris Turner. A little change of direction today that I hope you will all find interesting. This is the film that we recently created (more films at the bottom of this page): Tell us a little about yourself.  Where are you based?  How did you become a professional filmmaker? I’m a freelance filmmaker currently based in London. I specialise in cinematic, documentary-style films for brands, charities ..read more

My YouTube Review Video (text and images below) Official Promo Video by Fujifilm Fujifilm X100VI Review - Introduction Today is very special as it sees the release of the Fujifilm X100VI (or six, as some people will refer to it).  I cannot recall a camera as hotly anticipated as this in the Fujifilm ecosystem. I was due to be in Tokyo at the Fujifilm X-Summit today; however, due to personal circumstances, I had to postpone my trip at the last moment, which is a shame, but sometimes life throws you lemons, as they say. However, I have had a prototype of the X1006 for a short time, and toda ..read more

I’m pleased to make my second “Micro Presets” set available. The X100V Pack can be found here. My idea behind these sets is to make editing using the built-in camera profiles more streamlined, effortless, and reasonably priced. This pack is a series of Lightroom Presets specifically for the Fujifilm X-T5. This pack contains Film-Like presets based on the internal profiles available in the Fujifilm X-T5. NOTE: My Full Presets will work with any camera and offer a much more advanced set of custom profiles, film-based looks, utilities and AI-Utilities. These “Micro” presets are based on my twe ..read more

Eight years ago, the photography world was graced with the release of the Fujifilm X70. This camera, seemingly unassuming in its compact form, has proven to be a powerhouse that holds a special place in the hearts of photographers, myself included. As we celebrate its eighth anniversary, I'm sharing my experiences and a curated collection of 100 random images I have taken over the years. I was an early adopter of this camera, and, as you can see below, its been through some battles. However, it still works perfectly well, and I still enjoy using it. What is the Fujifilm X70? The Fujifilm X70 ..read more

What is the F16 Members Club? Starting in 2024, I am opening my F16 Members Club. In addition to 15% off all presets, training and workshops, a curated Video Library and a dedicated Q&A Section, we will meet monthly online to discuss a photographic theme, set an assignment and review our previous months’ work. I’ll still be creating my usual Blog content free of charge - nothing will change there. This programme has been designed for those who want to move forward with their photography and perhaps need a little momentum to help them. It will be fun, I promise.
