Molly and Dean had a perfect wedding day that started off with going to the Juno Tower in Halifax to capture the men. Yes it was their turn first and they were happy and excited. Dean took some time to himself to open Molly’s card and gift. I have to say- I love seeing the groom get a little emotional. It’s just so endearing! I had to rush across the bridge to document Molly and her girls getting ready at the Doubletree in Dartmouth. Everyone was in their satin robes and were ready, makeup perfectly done by Selena Marchand . So when I arrived they were anxious to get into their dresses. We dec ..read more

As a photographer, there are moments that simply take your breath away. Moments where the lighting is perfect, the atmosphere is filled with love, and every shot feels like a work of art. Erin and Ty's intimate wedding ceremony at Citadel Hill in Halifax was one such moment – a perfect recipe of love, history, and natural beauty. Nestled atop Citadel Hill, overlooking the charming city of Halifax and its historic harbor, Citadel Hill provided the ideal backdrop for Erin and Ty's special day. As their photographer, I had the privilege of witnessing their love story unfold against this iconic No ..read more

Maria and Josh's New Year's Eve Wedding at Sacred Heart Venue In April of 2022, at the bustling LAX airport, our paths converged in an unexpected twist. Like a Harry met Sally but not. Ok too far too far. However here goes the story. Maria, returning home after a lively bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs, was visibly unwell. Meanwhile, I was on my way back from capturing the joy of a friend's wedding in California. Seeing Maria feeling under the weather, I extended a small gesture of kindness by offering her a lozenge. Little did we realize that this simple moment would set in motion a remar ..read more

Photographing a wedding is always an exciting and memorable experience, but capturing a wedding in the beautiful city of Vancouver takes it to a whole new level. The last time I was here was 10 years ago for yes- a wedding! This time was just as wonderful. Sarah and Matthews wedding took place in Vancouver, with them choosing two stunning venues for their special day—the Fairmont Vancouver for getting ready and the UBC Boathouse for their reception. The day began at the Fairmont Vancouver, a most luxurious choice located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The bride and her bridesmaids prepare ..read more

As a wedding photographer in Nova Scotia, there are few things more rewarding than capturing the joy and love shared between two people on their special day. Nova Scotia, with its stunning landscapes, charming coastal towns, and welcoming communities, provides the perfect backdrop for weddings that are both intimate and breathtakingly beautiful. From the moment I arrive on the day of Jess & Kurts wedding, I was filled with excitement and anticipation. I love the hustle and bustle of getting ready, the nervous energy of the bride and groom, and the anticipation of the ceremony. Jess and Kur ..read more

Here we are in 2022 and here I am 14 years into this wedding photography thing. I guess you could say- it’s all I know at this point. Thats not a negative, in fact it’s something I’m quite proud of. Finding contentment in this crazy world of uncertainty is what brings me much peace and joy. And being able to do what I love again and again after all these years? It’s pretty special! On top of that now being considered a “ Nova Scotia Wedding Photographer” …. I’m learning the ropes in a different way, a different vibe which is something that is keeping me on my toes. I look forward to showing yo ..read more

One must start by saying that every couple has MANY stories. Which leads to the sometimes difficult task of deciding which one to tell. What angle to take it from and friends, that is not as easy a decision as you may think. For instance, with Mathieu and Nicole I could tell you the story of how it came about for me to photograph their wedding … an unexpected opportunity from another photographer. Or, of how they began to plan their wedding on their heritage property which as you’ll see, looked like a storybook setting. Or how their endurance through a near death accident only made their love ..read more

Sometimes you just never know where a wedding inquiry will come from. That certainly is the case when Amanda and Chris were looking for their photographer. The previous one had sadly fallen through (as can happen with the crazy change of events this past wedding season) . They had reached out on a Facebook Wedding Group where they asked if anyone was available for their upcoming nuptials. Myself being the 30th or so response, and being new in town AND without any contacts to vouch for me… I felt I had zero chance. And yet to my huge surprise, a lovely little red notification popped up in my me ..read more

It’s not rare these days that you get an email for an upcoming wedding that is … let’s say… happening ASAP! That’s just the way it is for now with this whole worldwide pandemic. But what that doesn’t mean is that the weddings have any less zest, love, or celebration. Christine emailed me just 3 months shy of her September wedding hoping I’d still be available. Though I had already moved to New Glasgow Nova Scotia- and my trips in to Montreal were going to be less and less, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to photograph her and Raphs’ backyard wedding. And to boot- it was on a Thursday! My in ..read more
