The Chancellor has announced that the government will immediately scrap stamp duty for all homes under £500,000 in a bold move to help reboot the housing industry. The New Build Property Market The latest house price data from the Office for National Statistics finds that average UK house prices are up 2.2% over the year to December 2019, and up from a figure of 1.7% in the year to November.
