Supporters, friends, and Art Park leadership gathered on August 16, 2019 for the 11th annual Legacy Gala fundraiser. It was a beautiful evening at Crystal Mountain with great food, drinks, music, and plenty of wonderful people. The fundraiser was an enormous success that raised over $55,000 to support Michigan Legacy Art Park, including over $23,000 in our special appeal to create the new Charles McGee Art Fund Fellowship. A Special Dedication: Bob Holdeman’s “A Dream of Home”

In 2013, Bob and Jane Holdeman established a memorial fund at the Art Park for their son, John, with the intention of proposing an artwork dedicated to him. Supporters from all over Northern Michigan gathered this past week at the 4th Annual Golf Classic. Nearly 90 attendees descended on Crystal Mountain’s gorgeous Mountain Ridge course for a day of fantastic sportsmanship and celebration benefitting the nonprofit Michigan Legacy Art Park. Thanks to their generosity, the Art Park raised $29,995 in funding to support our mission to inspire awareness, appreciation and passion for Michigan’s history, culture and environment through the arts.
