Hi there!
I've been involved with dog rescues for 12ish years and since moving to Chicago I have really been having a hard time finding a rescue that doesn't end up letting me down. I used to be able to confidently pledge my money in a monthly membership for years on end to the point where I haven't lived in that humane societies state for 10 years and they're still getting 50 of my dollars every month.

this baby magpie had been alone in my garden for more than a day calling for its parents. I waited for her parents to come back but they didn't arrive and now it was too cold outside, I had to keep her indoors but she seems to be dying... I'm afraid I was wrong to wait to help her

Hi All -
We wanted to share a Tiger update. She is one of the two horses that joined us from a challenging situation just a few months ago. We were told (by the owner whom surrendered her), she was approx. 15 yrs. old & supposedly a “good” riding horse. They had purchased her not long before we got her to be a family horse. Timing/situation was not on their side and they had to find her a new place ASAP so they reached out to us.
