The Irish College of Paramedics has endorsed the Paramedic PhD website, run by Greg Whitley, a Research Paramedic and PhD student in the UK. Paramedic PhD is an international registry of 'Emergency Medical Service' related doctoral level researchers and supervisors.  Over 90 doctorates and 16 supervisors from 14 different countries have been registered to date.  The aims of these registries are to: Identify all registered paramedics who are undertaking or have completed a relevant doctorate Facilitate collaboration between researchers in the pre-hospital emergency healthcare field ..read more

The Irish College of Paramedics and the Australian and New Zealand College of Paramedicine (ANZCP) have signed an MOU in order to collaborate and cooperate on advancement of the paramedic profession. ICoP Vice-President Alan Batt signed the MOU with John Bruning, General Manager of the ANZCP in Melbourne this week. The MOU commits ICoP and ANZCP to working together on mutually beneficial events and initiatives. The recent ICoP CPC day in Roscrea, Co. Tipperary was a resounding success. A total of 30 attendees rotated through lectures and skill stations on diverse topics including sepsis, CPC portfolios, reflective practice, pelvic splinting, spinal motion restriction and more. Feedback from delegates has been overwhelmingly positive, with calls for more CPC days to be held.
