(KVRR) — An open records request by KVRR Local News has revealed a letter that indicates former Metro Diversion Executive Director Joel Paulsen was placed on administrative leave shortly before he resigned. That letter was never signed by Paulsen, who resigned shortly after. The notice, which is signed by Metro Flood Diversion Authority Board Chair Shelly Carlson, lists questions regarding Paulsen’s communication with two developers, Red River Valley Alliance, LLC and ASN Constructors, as well as relationship issues with Authority staff as the reasons for this leave. Diversion Work Begins To Impact I-94 west of West Fargo

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — I-94 west of West Fargo is down to one lane in each direction for FM Area Diversion work. The lane closures are less than one mile and will last through Friday. Then on Monday, single lane closures will change to the right driving lanes and remain that way until bypass lanes are complete, which is expected in June. Speeds will be reduced. You can look forward to a short closure of the westbound on-ramp, the weigh station, and the eastbound off-ramp at Exit 342 to connect the ramps to the new bypass lanes in the future. The app, built by tip411 which works to develop apps like this with various police departments, will allow police in West Fargo to receive anonymous tips through the app or text. GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR/UND) — North Dakota First Lady Kathryn Burgum continues to work to eliminate the stigma and shame of addiction. She was the featured speaker at the 10th annual Women for Philanthropy Luncheon at UND. North Dakota started a statewide stigma survey in 2018 to evaluate the baseline attitudes people have toward addiction and recovery. A 2021 survey found the state has experienced an 11% reduction in stigmatized attitudes. The company is already known for being a leader in designing and manufacturing batteries for drones. The state’s first battery cell plant will be built in north Fargo. FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — Downtown Fargo is getting a new entertainment club called Good Times on NP. Fargo Liquor Control Board has approved a Class C liquor license for the business. Owner Cordell Hoff told the board the plan is to open the comedy club and speakeasy within the next several weeks at 623 NP Avenue. He says they will have “open nights” with comedians and local musicians and on regular nights there will be a beer bar.
