Sutton senior Carson Mau, President of the Sutton FFA Chapter, came away from the 96th annual Nebraska State FFA convention with two honors. Mau was named as the 2024 Proficiency Award Winner in Turf Grass Management, as well as, being honored with the Star Farmer Award in Agri-Business. Additional details related to the Sutton and Sandy Creek FFA Chapters at the state convention will appear in the April 17 issue of the Clay County News. Sutton Council approves Schwab change order for gas service to development

With the passage of an updated street improvement district during Monday night’s Sutton City Council meeting, infrastructure work along Hickory Street, on the north side of the Fox Hollow Golf Course, and the north side of the Schwab housing development will turn a focus on streets being created inside the development, and along Hickory Street from Highway 6, east to Road Y on the east side of the development.
