If this sounds like you and your babe, read on. The Classic Carters * Gap * Old navy * OshKosh * – This crew has been in the game a long time and for good reason. Traveling in a pandemic is hard. Traveling with children in a pandemic is even harder. I’ve had a lot of time over the last few weeks to explore my home town, a city that relies heavily on tourism. San Francisco has always had a lot to offer but I never realized just how great of a city she is until I found myself toting around a tiny human in need of free entertainment. I wanted to create a list of safe low-cost activities for families who are considering a trip to the Bay so that they have a quick reference guide to turn to. The below are spots appropriate for kiddos aged 0 months to 100 yea ..read more

We all need a vacation. If you have to ask from what? I would return your question with another question, Where have you been living for the last nine months and do you have room for one more? Socially distanced, of course. Flights, family visits, and even road trips may be on pause but if you’re lucky enough to live in the Golden State, you don’t have to travel far to feel rejuvenated. Below is a bare-bones list of crowd-sourced recommendations from our Instagram community of where to spend a few days getting a little R&R. Enjoy, and let us know if you give one of them a try! I’m going to preface this post with something you may hate me for… I had an easy pregnancy. No, that isn’t to brag (trust me, it’s gotten me a lot of evil looks over the last nine and a half months), it’s to warn that any advice or tips I give here are about keeping yourself as comfortable as possible. In the hierarchy of needs, these are the icing on the cake for that baby bump. What I Learned About Pregnancy: Download Expectful. I know you may not be a meditation person but it’s 10 or 20 minutes out of your day to be still and really take in the fact that you are growing a teeny tiny human ..read more

My daughter was born June 16th, 2020 at 3:35pm weighing 7 pounds 9 ounces. She is everything I could’ve ever hoped for. As is typical of every major life event, I began jotting down the story of her arrival within a few days of her earth landing. Below is our story. [Originally posted to Instagram and copied here.] I got my wisdom teeth taken out when I was a teenager. My first thought after the very minor procedure? “Welp. First big fear done. Next up? Childbirth.” I’ve been terrified of labor since I was a kid, so you can imagine the incredible relief I have now that I’ve done it, it was suc ..read more

No teacher becomes a teacher in order to have those delicious spring and summer (okay, and fall and winter) breaks but I’d be lying if it doesn’t keep us locked in once we start. (JK, kids, I love my job but mama’s gotta take it easy every once in a while). Today we discuss the infamous break, that which movies are made about and tweens the world over plan for months, if not years in advance: SPRING BREAK. Spring Break definitely isn’t what it once was (see ya, Cabo) but it still serves that same purpose of relaxation and recharging. This year Luke and I traded in margaritas and bikinis for mi ..read more

Happy 2020, everyone! As mentioned in my recent Instagram post, I started writing the bones of a five year plan yesterday (me?! Love a plan? Wild) and it got me both giddy with anticipation yet anxious for all the things that may never be. Luke and I want many things from life – some that lead down very different paths while others have the potential to converge – and it’s a daunting task to squeeze it all in. As we mentally (and physically) prepare for parenthood, our priorities will undoubtedly shift but I want to capture our dreams and our goals right now, pre-bb, so we have them to return ..read more
