An uncomplicated win one the front end of a back-to-back.
The Hawks faced a lineup with five NBA rookies in the starting lineup. And while nothing in the NBA is guaranteed, with this being the first half of a back-to-back it would behoove the team to take care of business early.
This ball movement from the Hawks was a good sign early.

A comeback for the record books.
The Atlanta Hawks were at home Monday evening to face the Boston Celtics.
The Celtics, who have the best record in the NBA at 57-14, will be in Atlanta for most of the week with them having to play the Hawks again on Thursday. Both teams came in winning their previous games, and both came in with injuries to their starting lineup as well.

Two banged up squads met in State Farm Arena on Saturday evening. For the Hawks, they’d have to cope without Trae Young, Jalen Johnson, Kobe Bufkin, and Onyeka Okongwu among others. The Charlotte Hornets were missing starters LaMelo Ball, Cody Martin, and Mark Williams to name a few absences.
The game got off to a hot start with both teams trading made baskets. Atlanta had a few promising moments, like on this ‘Bogi’ series of buckets.

The Hawks traveled to Phoenix after splitting two games in Los Angeles against the Lakers and Clippers. Despite two days off, the Hawks were still missing a number of key players including Trae Young and Jalen Johnson heading into this Suns matchup.
Vit Krejci remained in the starting lineup tonight, and he was joined by formerly usual starter De’Andre Hunter for Dre’s first start since December.
