Whether you’re an established or aspiring trail builder, or even just a weekend rider, there’s something here for you in the Take Care Of Your Trails 2024 campaign.
The Take Care of Your Trails campaign is based on a successful pilot project initially developed by Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland (DMBinS). In 2017, IMBA Europe adopted the concept and worked in partnership with DMBinS to turn TCoYT into a pan-European event. The objectives of the TCoYT campaign are:
to promote trail stewardship and improve the image of our sport;
to recognise the work of many MTB volunteers;

The latest movie from Utah based freeride crew In The Hills Gang is out. 44 minutes of freeride vibes, following in the tradition of the original Down trilogy that helped spawn the big branded freeride scene that we see today. And while the music – and some of the language – is NSFW, adults watching this may be distressed that they are not this young, this cool, or this talented on a bike. We take no responsibility for any midlife crises caused as a result of watching this video.
Maybe you’ll see this and think ‘meh, freeride’. In which case let me try and explain what it is about this film t ..read more

After a few years of meetings which have nearly but not quite crossed the line into seeing a properly funded project in Wales to promote mountain biking, Welsh Cycling has decided to try and get things kick started, in the hope that other key players – like the Welsh Assembly, Sport Wales, and Natural Resources Wales – will be up for formalising something akin to the ..read more

Hang on a minute, cross compatibility… affordable groupset… short reach levers so everyone can ride bikes… it’s not a late April Fool, it’s a happy reality from Shimano. It’s apparently part of a move to simplify the line up, but it’s taken a bit of figuring out what the PR is actually saying. What’s also interesting is that this appears to be a focus on the entry-to-cycling market – whether that’s kids and teens, or just low cost of entry. We’ve not seen any big leaps at the high end of Shimano’s line up for a while – will we see them emerge as the Olympic hoo-ha warms up, or is better gear o ..read more
